There is nothing, truly nothing, that feels more L.A. than Erewhon. The upmarket grocery chain has made a name for itself stocking and selling wildly boujee items that are out of the budget range of most folks (although don’t get us wrong, there are plenty of things we’d actually buy from there), and the baked-in feeling of luxury at its stores goes beyond its items. Erewhon locations are renowned for being clean and serene, with a boutique-y feel that only the City of Angels could create while you grab your weekly grocery haul.
If you’re going to Erewhon, though, you’re likely going to spend a lot of money—so you want it to be the best experience possible, right? That’s why you need to head down to its Fairfax store on 7660 Beverly Boulevard, which has been dubbed the best of Erewhon’s eleven locations by the fine folks over on Yelp.
What’s So Good About This Erewhon Location?
The Beverley Boulevard Erewhon has received rave reviews from Yelpers for its modern feel, which people have said sets it apart from older units. This relative newness also means that Erewhon bosses have managed to stop it from feeling so cramped, so that customers can buy their sea moss gummies and Coconut Cloud Smoothies in peace.
Its cleanliness is also repeatedly highlighted as a bonus by customers—and, of course, its one-of-a-kind product selection might not be unique to this specific Erewhon, but people still love it. “Each time I’ve been here it’s been clean and I’ve found interesting items for gifts and self-care to try,” said one Yelp reviewer, who also pointed out that they preferred the food at Erewhon to that of Whole Foods. Well, with that price, you’d definitely hope so.
The Customer Service at the Beverley Boulevard Erewhon Is Also a Real Plus
Now, if you’re dropping cash on the kinds of prices that Erewhon products have, then you’d hope that the vibes are good in its stores. Thankfully, at this location, they are (well, for the most part, at least). Multiple customers have praised the customer service at the Fairfax Erewhon, saying that its staff work hard to make its shoppers feel welcome and ensure that their experience is smooth. One shopper even stated that they were given water while they waited for their car to be driven around by the valet. You don’t get that at Walmart when you’re heading home with an armful of Great Value products, no matter how good some of them are.
That being said, some customers have noted that they’ve encountered the odd unfriendly member of staff. But hey, that’s kinda like any store, right? Generally speaking, though, Erewhon employees get it right at this location, and it’s a go-to spot if you want to feel like a celeb (or spot one).
