Just before Super Bowl weekend, the good people at Frank’s RedHot sent over four new sauces perfect for a Game Day feast… that I wasn’t hosting. (This is a Puppy Bowl household, y’all.) Duty calls nonetheless. Using leftover Chicken McNuggets from my caviar review, I tried all four new Frank’s RedHot sauces in a marathon tasting session that the roof of my mouth regrets like no other.
- Frank’s RedHot Spicy Maple Wing Sauce & Dip
-
Pros: There’s a truly candyesque maple factor here, genuinely rich and sweet underneath the subtle heat. The spice level is, true to the label, medium – right at the edge of my comfort zone. (This doesn’t bode well for the sauce labeled “HOT!” at the end of this review.) This one won’t last long in my fridge.
Cons: Frank’s RedHot Spicy Maple is the stickiest sauce I tried today. If you’re tossing finger foods like wings in this, make sure your party spread includes wipes.

- Frank’s RedHot Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce & Dip
-
Pros: Unlike the last Garlic Parmesan product I reviewed here on Sporked, this Frank’s RedHot sauce is actually well-balanced between garlic and parmesan! This is a solid, strong flavor that will make a perfect “in-between” wing when the other wings build up too much heat.
Cons: The citric acid somehow brings lemon to mind; as a lemon pepper fan, I’m not too mad, but it doesn’t further the Garlic Parmesan goal. This sauce was definitely the thickest, very hard to get out of the bottle – and grainy too. Mouthfeel-wise, this was the worst of the squad.

- Frank’s RedHot Pineapple Hawaiian Wing Sauce & Dip
-
Pros: I was most excited to try this sauce, and it did not disappoint. The pineapple flavor here is fresh and strong and specifically pineapple, rather than the artificial “definitely citrus, maybe pineapple” vibe that plagues lesser pineapple products. There’s just enough heat in this new Frank’s RedHot sauce to keep things interesting, but I could easily down a dozen wings tossed in this—it’d be worth the slow buildup of pain.
Cons: Not a real problem, but here’s a fun fact: The base of this sauce is tamari, a gluten-free Japanese sauce very similar to soy sauce. Curious stuff!

- Frank’s RedHot Squeeze Ghost Pepper Ranch
-
Pros: If this is your thing, this is a great rendition! The heat is in your face immediately—debilitating for me, but enjoyable for others. The flavor you expect from Frank’s RedHot lies in wait until the blaze has barely subsided to remind you why you picked this up over one of those generic, vulgar hot sauces. The squeezable bottle is also well-suited for thicker sauces like this (and the Garlic Parmesan from earlier).
Cons: Ow.
