Glen Powell is everywhere. He’s on billboards (I don’t know from Chad Powers, but I sure see outdoor ads for it a lot). He’s in, what, 60% of all the movies that come out? And he’s at Walmart, too. Now, before you put on a fresh coat of mascara and rush to your local Superstore, I’m talking about his brand Smash Kitchen, which launched in 2025 as a line of pretty basic organic condiments sold exclusively at the big box store: yellow mustard, classic ketchup, mayo, an “American style” BBQ sauce, you get the idea. But now our arguably oversaturated buddy Glen is branching out beyond the condiment aisle with new Smash Kitchen potato chips.

What’s special about the new Smash Kitchen chips, besides their association with the star of Twisters?
Smash Kitchen’s whole angle has been creating “better-for-you” products at good prices. All the sauces are as lightly processed as possible—they’re organic, non GMO, and as Powell put it, “You can flip the label over and actually recognize and pronounce everything on it,” meaning they don’t include artificial colors or flavors or things like high fructose corn syrup (although, I suppose that’s not terrible hard to pronounce). And they cost about $3-$5, depending on the product.
Likewise, the new Smash Kitchen potato chips are being presented as a less processed option. As a press release says, “Built on three simple pillars: great flavors, all-natural ingredients, and real crunch, the lineup features USA-grown, non-GMO potatoes, cooked in small batches for texture and depth. No artificial flavors. No artificial colors. Just great chips, done right.”
Oh, and they’re specifically kettle chips, so expect lots o’ crunch!
Okay great, but what flavors are we talking about here?
At least initially, Smash Kitchen kettle chips will come in four flavors:
- Classic Sea Salt
- American Style BBQ
- Hot Honey BBQ
- Rosemary
The Rosemary flavor sounds the most compelling to me, but hey, maybe Glen also went and made the first hot honey chips we didn’t absolutely hate! We’ll find out when we try these (keep an eye on the site for our review). If you want to try them for yourself, they’re hitting Walmart stores as we speak and retailing for about $3.50 for 6oz bags.
