Another day, another celebrity snack brand I am legally obligated to try. Everyone, say hello to Khloe Kardashian’s Khloud Protein Chips, the newest protein snack to come out of her original Khloud line of protein popcorn flavors. If you’re waiting for me to make a disparaging joke about the Kardashians, keep waiting. I don’t have it in me today. I’m tired and too mad at the 1% to summon any sort of wit.

These new protein chips come in three flavors: Sweet Heat, Buffalo, and Nacho. One thing I would never do is let my anger at the wealth hoarders of the world khloud my judgment of a new product I’m reviewing. (There, was that fun?) So here is my honest review of whether these chips taste any good. Leggo.

- Khloud Protein Chips: Sweet Heat, Buffalo, and Nacho
-
Pros: Protein chip textures are never enticing, but these have an ultra-thin crispness that keeps them fairly crunchy and not too mealy. The Sweet Heat flavor is really nice and bold; it’s definitely the standout by far. I expected it to be too sweet and honeyed, but it finds a great salty-sweet balance. It’s extra flavor-dusted compared to the other two, too.
Cons: Don’t bother with the other two flavors (Buffalo and Nacho). The Nacho in particular has a weird chemical thing going on. The Buffalo has a nice kick of heat, but it barely tastes like buffalo sauce. You’re 100% better off buying the new protein Doritos. Sorry, but it’s true!
Verdict: Sweet Heat is a decent addition to the protein snack craze, but if you don’t want to give the Kardashians any more money, there are definitely better protein chips out there. That’s all I’m gonna say about it.
