Well, Monster Energy must have known I was waiting for this one. The energy drink giant was nice enough to expedite a few sample cans over to yours truly earlier this month. It’s finally time, I’ve been waiting to try this energy drink for over half a year; let’s crack open Juice Monster Strawberry Lemonade before the anticipation kills me.
Juice Monster Strawberry Lemonade
New Monster Flavor!
Pros: This is at least the thirdStrawberry Lemonade drink from Monster Energy, and I think it’s my favorite of the trio–especially since the Monster Rehab version is discontinued and the Blind Lemon hard lemonade version is for special occasions. This new extra-patriotic edition is, true to form for strawberry lemonade, sweet and tart. That tartness comes from both the lemon juiceand the apple juice I was surprised to find in the ingredients list. I really enjoy the less-carbonated Juice Monster format as well; maybe I’m just growing out of sparkling energy drinks…
Cons: While this doesn’t taste as sweet as other Juice Monster energy drinks I’ve reviewed, it’s certainly sweet on the inside. I’ve dinged previous Juice Monster flavors like Viking Berry and Bad Apple for having an absurd amount of sugar, but this 16oz can contains a chart-topping 94% of your daily recommended intake. I’m glad so many of the other drinks I review are zero sugar.

Where can I find this new Juice Monster flavor for myself?
Juice Monster Strawberry Lemonade will be sold wherever Monster Energy products are sold: grocers, gas stations, and those weird gas stations mutating off the side of grocery stores with the drink fridges chained up next to the attendant cage.
