Oreo must have heard all the hype around Cherry Sakura Red Bull returning to shelves in the United Kingdom; the cookie giant is bringing their own Cherry Sakura treat to consumers. Last night, the internet was rocked with the revelation that Cherry Sakura and Strawberry Matcha Oreo cookies weren’t just coming soon—they’re available right now. Before you rush to the grocery store, read on for details on exactly what these cookies are and how you can get your hands on them.

Are these the same as the Cherry Blossom Matcha cookies sold by Oreo in 2025?

Frankly, these couldn’t be more different. Last year, Oreo sold just 1,000 packs of Cherry Blossom Matcha Oreo Thins through an online raffle. (While I was torn on the super-subtle floral flavors, I did enjoy the overall concept.) Those cookies featured the chocolate Oreo wafer in thin format, but these new Cherry Sakura and Strawberry Matcha Oreo cookies will be golden—and the creme will be standard Oreo creme. Huh?

Yes, rather than flavoring the creme filling like nearly every other Oreo cookie, these new treats are actually standard Golden Oreo cookies with standard vanilla creme, enrobed in flavored fudge coatings. While this will seem strange to casual Oreo fans, it’s actually standard for the OREOiD format. I definitely prefer these two flavor concepts to the fudge-covered pickle-flavored fudge-covered Oreos released earlier this year.

What comes in the OREOiD Forever Springtime Cookie Box?

Each OREOiD Forever Springtime Cookie Box contains 12 cookies in total, split evenly between Cherry Sakura fudge-coated cookies and Strawberry Matcha fudge-coated cookies. Again, to be clear, the cookies are standard Golden Oreos; the fudge coatings will deliver the exotic flavors described on the packaging.

How can I get the OREOiD Forever Springtime Cookie Box for myself?

These 12-cookie packs are available now through Oreo’s website for the eye-popping price of $24.99 before shipping. Broadly speaking, OREOiD aims to be the place to find “elevated” Oreos like these internationally-inspired cookies, so it’s only natural that the prices are elevated as well. I hope to try these myself for a Sporked review… if Oreo is nice enough to send over a box.
