Whether you’re single or feeding your family, the prepared food section at Sam’s Club generally has you covered. We talk a lot about Costco’s prepared meal kits here at Sporked (just last week we were celebrating the return of its gyro kit), but honestly, Sam’s Club’s holds its own too – and options like its recent breakfast platter, which we recommended stocking up on for Easter, have really been catching our eye of late.

Now, though, it’s selling what we think might be our favorite of its prepared foods yet. It’s definitely a favorite of some of its customers, so who are we to think otherwise? Introducing its new chicken tikka masala kit.
Sam’s Club Chicken Tikka Masala
Sam’s Club’s new chicken tikka masala has been spotted by its customers in the last couple of days, as well as by Instagrammers like @samsclubfoodreview, who posted a video of it in-store. If we do say so ourselves, this meal kit is as cute as they come – and that’s all down to the six mini naans that sit perched atop a pile of white basmati rice. Come on. Mini anything and we’re sold, but mini bread? Sign us up!
Along with the rice and naan, you get a few lime wedges and, of course, the chicken tikka masala itself. Each serving has 22 grams of protein, and it can be ready in less than 20 minutes. This is a family meal kit, and each one costs around $20 – but for that price, you get a good few meals.
And Is It Really That Good?
Apparently so, guys. Now, it’s probably best to preface the response by saying that any pre-prepared chicken tikka masala will never be able to compete with the freshly-made kind – but even so, Sam’s Club’s meal seems to hit the spot with customers. “The flavor was very good without being too overpowering. The chicken was tender. The preparation was very easy,” said one review on the Sam’s Club website, before going on to say that the naan was a nice addition to everything. This seems to be the consensus of the kit, too (although one person did state that the naan wasn’t quite as good as they wanted it to be).
So, yes – it might not rival your local restaurant, but you can likely do far worse than this one. Grab it next time you’re picking up the Sam’s Club nuggets, which its customers are also pretty fond of. We see you, Sam’s Club; we see the work you’re putting in.
