‘Tis the season for unexpected bakery collabs! Well, apparently, anyway. We’ve seen a couple of nifty new combos of baked goods and left-field flavor inclusions recently, and we can’t say that we’re unhappy about it. Just yesterday, we were discussing Circle K’s new candy-inspired bakery line, and a little while before that it was Pillsbury’s Snickers cookie dough.

Now, though, the cookie and biscuit giant is taking things in a new direction – and it’s a spicy one. Pillsbury has a new hot honey flavor, thanks to a collaboration with everyone’s favorite swicy brand. Let’s discuss.
New Pillsbury Grands! Poppin Flavors
General Mills has just revealed that its Pillsbury line will be getting four new flavors as part of its Grands! range. The highest-profile one is made with Mike’s Hot Honey, with the brand mixing its sweet-spicy taste into Pillsbury’s biscuits – and there are three new fruity options to choose from, too. The full range of flavors looks like…this:
- Pillsbury Grands! Poppin’ Flavor Mike’s Hot Honey Biscuits: The big-ticket collab, with warm, flaky biscuits imbued with sweetness and spiciness, ready in just a few minutes.
- Pillsbury Grands! Poppin’ Flavor Maple Biscuits: Maple-infused biscuits, with a touch of sweetness at every turn.
- Pillsbury Grands! Raspberry Fruit Rolls: Ideal for an easy breakfast or a sweet treat after your meal (or before your meal, or midway through your meal, or whatever, really), this fruit roll has a fruity, sharp raspberry filling.
- Pillsbury Grands! Apple Fruit Rolls: And finally, an apple-flavored roll from Pillsbury, which feels like it’ll be a hit in the fall.
According to General Mills, its new flavor line is a move that leans into that unexpected nature that we mentioned up top. “We’re seeing people gravitate toward flavors that feel a little more surprising, paired with the comfort and convenience people want from everyday baking,” said Pillsbury at General Mills’ vice president and business unit director, Carolina Comings, in a press release. “The Pillsbury Grands! Poppin’ Flavor lineup makes it easy to try something different while still enjoying the products people already love.” The full range is available now at retailers across the country.
It’s Hot Honey’s World, We’re Just Living In It
To say that hot honey is everywhere at the moment would be the understatement of the millennium – and Pillsbury’s far from the only brand that’s including it in its food. In the last couple of weeks, the likes of AMC and Whataburger have dropped hot honey options, and they’re only the latest to do so. And I get it. I can’t get enough of it, either. The bubble will burst at some point, I’m sure, but until then, let’s all enjoy the buffet of swicy foods on offer.
