While we’re not necessarily in the habit of giving out performance reviews, Sam’s Club’s been putting a lot of effort in this year – and we’ve noticed! We first discussed what Sam’s Club was up to in 2026 back in March, at which time we noted that the supermarket chain was going to invest more heavily in its bakery section throughout the coming months. This wasn’t just a pie-in-the-sky prediction on our part: Sam’s Club has been gently ramping things up on the baked goods front, both in terms of new ready-made items and in offering new ingredients, like the vanilla bean paste that dropped there last week.

The latest item that’s just debuted in its bakery section, though, may well be our favorite. It’s got a new cupcake selection on sale, and frankly, it looks delicious.
Member’s Mark Gourmet Cupcakes
Sam’s Club’s new Member’s Mark Gourmet Cupcakes were spotted last week by @samsclubfavorites (although they’ve been on the Sam’s Club website for a few weeks now), and the big-box store has gone big with this one. These cupcakes are a visual delight: Eye-catching, colorful, and adorned with many a topping, these aren’t your boring old mini variety. They’re dressed to impress.
The Gourmet Cupcakes come in an eight-pack with four different flavors: Strawberry (which is filled with strawberry and topped with white chocolate curls and a dollop of strawberry jam), Meyer Lemon (filled with lemon and topped with lemon cream cheese icing and sprinkles), Chocolate (with chocolate curls and a big ol’ blob of chocolate buttercream – and it has chocolate in the middle, too), aaaaand… Dubai-Style Chocolate.
Yes, Sam’s Club has given us the latest entry of a Dubai chocolate-flavored dessert, and in doing so, keeps the undying trend alive for yet another day. The Dubai-Style Chocolate cupcake is filled with chocolate and topped with chocolate frosting, pistachio curls, and a crown of pistachio cream to finish it off. Hey, at least Sam’s Club hasn’t gone down the drinks route here (we’re looking at you, Pepsi).
And Are They Any Good?
So far, customers are impressed. One reviewer on the Sam’s Club website called them “divine,” while another said that they were “fantastic, gourmet cupcakes for a great value.” That said, one person did state that they felt a little overpriced for what you get – and at $13.97 for eight cupcakes, they’re not the most budget-friendly option out there. If you’re not in the mood to roll up your sleeves and get baking for your next party, though, you can do a lot worse than these. Find them in the bakery section now.
