It seems like there’s a new energy drink brand everywhere you look. I can’t walk down the Target grocery aisle without coming face to face with at least three canned drinks I’ve never heard of before, which is crazy considering my entire job is to know about them.

For many people, I’m sure FLRT Energy came out of nowhere in the same way. That said, I did know about this one in advance–far in advance, actually. While FLRT Energy debuted on shelves back in March, I actually saw the cans on display at NACS back in October of last year. By the time those four energy drinks had actually hit shelves, I’d already heard a rumor about a fifth flavor launching later in 2026. It’s finally time to talk about it; let’s go over everything we know about the upcoming FLRT Apple Bottoms Up Energy flavor.

What is FLRT Energy?

FLRT Energy is the newest energy drink brand from Monster Beverage Corp, the same parent company that owns Monster Energy, NOS, Full Throttle, Storm Energy, BANG Energy, and at least a few other things. Every can contains zero sugar, 200mg of caffeine, plus biotin, zinc, and vitamins to support health and immunity. While four flavors have been available permanently since launch (Berry Tempting, Guava Lava, Strawberry Fling, and Sunset Squeeze), Apple Bottoms Up is the first limited-edition flavor for the brand.

Is this that girlie Monster Energy line?

FLRT is not a subline of Monster Energy, which is obvious to anyone who’s looked at the drinks themselves; there isn’t a whiff of Monster’s energy anywhere on these bright and simple can designs. Calling FLRT “Monster Energy for girls” doesn’t really track; no one is out here calling Alani NuCELSIUS for girls” even though they share a parent company. I’ve gotten to chat a little with the folks building up FLRT under a giant shadow; they’re really trying to carve out their own niche despite all the “why bother?” negative press that this brand has shouldered in infancy.

When is FLRT Apple Bottoms Up hitting shelves?

Per our sources, FLRT Apple Bottoms Up hits shelves wherever FLRT is sold at the end of August. That said, the new limited-edition flavor will hit the Kroger family of grocery stores a full two weeks early, starting on August 17th. Will you be checking out the first new FLRT since the initial drop? Let us know in the comments.
