Freddy’s Is Celebrating National Frozen Custard Day In Style

Oh my god. Oh my GOD. It’s National Frozen Custard Day this Saturday, and I’d completely forgotten! I haven’t got my banners up or stocked up my freezer! My friends and family are going to be devastated – it’s their favorite day of the year. Man, I suck.

Kidding! Of course I’m kidding. Did you know that it’s National Frozen Custard Day? Did you have any idea that such a day exists? You probably didn’t: Much like National Chicken Wing Day, National Avocado Day, National Root Beer Float Day, and National Spritz Day, National Frozen Custard Day feels made-up and largely unnoteworthy, and largely exists for a couple of enthusiasts and for food companies to use it as a vehicle to offer deals. Well, this year, Freddy’s isn’t missing out. Whether you’re celebrating or not, you might wanna check these out. 

Freddy’s National Frozen Custard Day Deals

Starting tomorrow (Friday, August 7), Freddy’s customers will be able to access a trio of deals for three days, including National Frozen Custard Day itself on August 8. From Friday to Sunday, you can get any mini frozen custard for $2, any regular frozen custard for $3, and any large frozen custard for $4. You can use each offer once, and you can only use one offer per order. 

Just bear in mind, though, that you have to be a Freddy’s Loyalty member to get these deals, which are available through the restaurant’s app. So if you’re not signed up, then sign up! These aren’t a massive saving, but a couple of dollars off here and there is never a bad thing, ya know? Just remember that you can’t redeem them on orders through third-party apps; you’ll have to do it directly. 

Fun At Freddy’s

Freddy’s National Frozen Custard Day offers come off the back of a busy summer for the chain. In late June, it launched Freddy’s Bevies, its dirty soda platform, which came with five new flavors, as well as a trio of teas and lemonades. It’s all still in the midst of its Summer Custard Tour, which started months ago and is rolling on until the end of August. 

Elsewhere in frozen custard lane, we haven’t seen that many deals pop up this year in honor of everyone’s favorite national holiday (on which no-one will get a day off) – but if you happen to be near a Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, you can get buy one, get one free cones for a few hours this Saturday (3 to 5 p.m.). Make a day of it!
