You Won’t Want To Miss Applebee’s National Cheeseburger Day Deal

Another national food day is almost here – and it’s the one we’ve all been waiting for! Right? …Right? Well, maybe if you like cheeseburgers. National Cheeseburger Day, as I’m sure we all definitely know, is next Friday, September 18, and as is now tradition with many national food days, restaurants and brands are getting on board with offers. One of the first out of the gate is Applebee’s, which has just announced a pretty decent deal in honor of the hallowed day.

Applebee’s Burger & Fries Deal

Next Friday, September 18, Applebee’s customers will be able to grab either a Classic Burger or Classic Cheeseburger and fries for just $8.99. Considering that outside of other meal deal offers, this combo usually comes in at around $11 or just above, this is a nice little saving – especially if you had an Applebee’s visit in your sights at some point soon. The offer’s available in dine-in and to-go formats, and it’ll be available through its website and its app. 

As you would expect, though, this is a one-day-only offer, so no waiting around if you want to avail of it. What isn’t a one-day-only is its new O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger, which we were discussing just last week, and which is the latest addition to its very viral O-M-Cheese lineup (viral thanks to the still slightly mind-boggling image of a burger resting in a molten lake of cheese sauce – imagine showing that to a Victorian child). The O-M-Cheese-adilla burger is a transformation of Applebee’s Quesadilla Burger, with a bacon and Pepper Jack cheese-filled sandwich upended into a skillet of queso and Cheddar, along with white corn tortilla chips topped with even more queso, house-made pico and cilantro. I need a glass of water after typing all that out. 

The Big Day’s Almost Here!

National food day promotions tend to be announced pretty close to the actual day itself, so Applebee’s being one of the sole restaurants offering something at this point isn’t unusual. However, yesterday, McDonald’s also teased its own National Cheeseburger Day offer, giving out Double Cheeseburgers for just $1, according to Southern Living. You’ll have to order that one through its app. As for Applebee’s new O-M-Cheese-adilla burger, that’ll be around for the whole of September, and its OG O-M-Cheese burger is also still available (we’ve tried it, too), if that’s your thing.
