SPAM has officially become a hot dog. And not just any hot dog either.

The canned meat brand is getting a football-season makeover in Minnesota, where it’s teaming up with the Minnesota Vikings on a season-long lineup of SPAM Dogs at U.S. Bank Stadium. The first is the SKOL Crusher SPAM Dog, which takes a piece of meat that has spent decades being associated with cans and puts it in a bun like that’s where it was born to be.
The SKOL Crusher is topped with hot honey mustard, purple slaw, and crispy potato sticks, as if putting SPAM in a hot dog wasn’t enough of a statement on its own.
Meet The SKOL Crusher
The new SPAM Dog starts with the brand’s signature meat, shaped into a hot dog and served on a bun. It’s topped with hot honey mustard, purple slaw, and crispy potato sticks.
The purple slaw is doing some obvious Vikings-related heavy lifting here, but the rest of the toppings aren’t exactly subtle either. You’ve got salty SPAM, sweet heat from the mustard, crunchy slaw, and crispy potato sticks all competing for attention.
It’s less a traditional hot dog and more a football-stadium snack that has decided the normal rules don’t apply.
And considering the venue, that feels appropriate.
SPAM Is Getting A Whole Season
The SKOL Crusher isn’t a one-off.
SPAM is becoming U.S. Bank Stadium’s Official Dog for the 2026-27 season, and the brand is planning a rotating lineup throughout the football season. Future versions will include a Hawaiian-inspired creation and limited-time varieties based on visiting teams.
Which means opposing teams may soon be responsible for inspiring the hot dog they’re served at the stadium. I’m not sure that’s how home-field advantage is supposed to work, but I’ll allow it.
The SPAM Dogs will be available at Section 341 and other locations around the stadium during Vikings home games.
There’s Also A SPAM Tailgate
If a SPAM hot dog isn’t enough of a commitment, the brand is also setting up a SPAM Tailgate in The Commons outside U.S. Bank Stadium.
It will run before each home game starting October 4th and include samples, prizes, and games. So you can apparently spend your pregame sampling SPAM, then go inside and order more SPAM in hot dog form.
You have to respect the dedication.
When Can You Try It?
The SKOL Crusher SPAM Dog is available during the 2026-27 Vikings season at U.S. Bank Stadium, with the rotating lineup arriving throughout the season.
The first home-game SPAM Tailgate starts October 4th, and the brand says more team-inspired varieties are on the way.
So if you’ve ever looked at a can of SPAM and thought, “This would be better if it were a hot dog,” congratulations.
Someone heard you.
