Spoiler Alert: Reddit Found The Return Of This Costco Food Court Item

The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. It’s been a real joy to see Costco join us all over on TikTok. It really was a longshot considering Costco doesn’t typically participate in traditional marketing techniques. Unfortunately, it looks like their latest video might have backfired just a smidge.

A Tease That Got Spoiled

Costco’s video is cute! It teases that something is coming back to the food court in a delightful way. They obviously bleep out the name of the food that’s returning but at least temper expectations by saying it’ll just be a limited time return. As you’d expect, people took to the comments to share what they hoped would return. There were calls for combo pizza, the acai bowls, and, of course, the Costco churro.

Reddit Spilled The Beans

There were a number of Costco employees to join in on the discussion to spoil the news and steal Costco’s thunder―which we’re not too mad about because it’s a pain to wait. My favorite comment was a two-parter. First was the “Asking my Food Court Supervisor Girlfriend. I’ll reply to this when she gets back to me” comment and the reply a few minutes later, “It is, in fact, churros!” Thanks, that person’s girlfriend!

More comments piled on to share their excitement for the news. “Bring back the churros for a very long limited time,” said one Redditor. Someone also said “Churro plus their ice cream is going to be lit.” Which I would like to tell them was already a thing. I guess the churro sundae was more of a dud than we had thought. It probably paved the way for the churro to return though, so we’re thankful for its work either way.

Straight, Not Twisted

While most are celebrating the return of the churro to Costco’s food court, some are being selective with their cheers. There’s a bit of a debate going on in regards to which version of the churro should get a return. The latest churro that Costco had in its food court was the twisted churro. This is most likely what we’ll be getting back.

However some are saying that it pales in comparison to the original, straight churro, that we were first introduced to. Surely we’ll just be getting the latest version that was in Costco’s food courts. This may even be a pallet or two of churros that someone found in the back of the freezer that they didn’t want to waste. Only time will tell, but we’ll be patiently waiting to see those glorious golden rods back at our local Costco food court!
