We’ve been keeping tabs on La Colombe for a while, and this year it’s provided us with plenty to talk about. The ready-to-drink latte specialists have been both giving out free coffees and pumping out new flavors throughout much of 2026. Now, admittedly, we haven’t been super impressed by everything we’ve tried so far – its s’mores latte didn’t quite land for us; we much preferred its salted caramel apple latte, though – but what we have been impressed by is the rate at which this brand is trying to bring innovative new flavors to the masses.

So, we were of course very interested to hear that La Colombe is launching a brand new matcha line – and in typical fashion, it feels like it’s marching to the beat of its own drum. Let’s discuss.
La Colombe Matcha Lattes
Yesterday, La Colombe revealed its new Matcha Latte line, a trio of ready-to-drink options designed for on-the-go sipping. It’s launching this line with an Everyday Matcha Latte, which opts for a classic flavor profile, and two flavored options: Vanilla and Strawberry. The latter two might be slightly better-suited for people who don’t quite get on with the grassy, earthy notes of matcha fully, but still want to get in on the fun.
La Colombe’s move to launch its new matcha drinks reflects the times we’re in, which have been increasingly defined, in the coffee world at least, by the green tea extract. As it notes in its press release, its own matcha sales in its cafés have grown by almost 200% since 2023, and everyone’s getting in on the action: Even chains like Jack In The Box have launched their own matcha drinks this year. Canned matcha lattes are still relatively few and far between from major producers, though, so La Colombe’s striking at a good time. Well, a good time for its sales, at least.
Details? When? Where?
Details! These new matcha lattes will contain 65 milligrams of natural caffeine each, and they’re made with lactose-free whole milk and single-origin matcha sourced from Japan. La Colombe also says that they’ll be a good source of protein, thanks to the milk used. Until we get a look at that nutritional information, we can’t say how good a source of protein they’ll be…but hey, we remain optimistic.
As for when and where you can get them: La Colombe Matcha Lattes will launch this month online and at retailers nationwide. There are fewer than two weeks left of September (a fact that strikes fear into my heart – passage of time and all that), so expect them any day now.
