Since it has that classic old timey bottle shape, it might not surprise you to learn Topo Chico’s been around since all the way back in 1895. And while the brand has vastly expanded, the classic sparkling mineral water has remained its backbone product for over 130 years.

We mention that because that’s no doubt part of what’s given the brand so much confidence in its recent years of product expansion and creation (a parent company like Coca-Cola doesn’t hurt brand confidence either). Well beyond the basic bubbly, Topo Chico’s come out with everything from some semi-successful canned margaritas to their new flavored Sabores sparkling water line. Needless to say we have high hopes for two new products launching in 2027―well, one’s a new flavor, and one an entirely new format. Let’s get into the fizz of it all.

Pineapple Coconut Sabores is Coming to Town

Like we mentioned, we’ve tried Topo’s Sabores unsweetened sparkling water line, which back in 2024 included Tangerine with Ginger, Blueberry with Hibiscus, and Lime with Mint. (FYI, we loved them.) Since then, they’ve added Passionfruit, Raspberry Lemon, and Mango flavors. Reddit loves those, too.

And that’s why we’re looking forward to the new Pineapple Coconut Sabores flavor, slated to come out sometime in 2027. The flavor combination might seem simple, and predictable on paper, but there’s serious (and seriously refreshing) culinary potential here: pineapple and coconut are both lighter, distinctive tropical flavors that behave very differently―in the Sabores water, the pineapple might get an extra edge from the bubbles, and vice versa, while the coconut softens and almost enriches the sip. We can’t wait to get our hands on it next year.

A Brand, Bubbly New Colección

We have a bit more info on the other product―at least its release date. In February of 2027, Topo Chico will be releasing its “Colección” line of Carbonated Water, “Filtered Water with Signature Minerals Added for Flavor.” The can itself is quite striking: gold, with the classic yellow, red, and black Topo Chico colors in the central label (plus a proud, thickly-maned lion), and royal blue trim.

But even though the product description seems a bit spare, there’s actually a bit to unpack there: whereas classic Topo Chico is a mineral water (still) bottled at the aforementioned Cerro del Topo Chico mountain spring in Monterrey, this is clearly (no pun intended, promise) a filtered water with specific minerals added back in for specific flavors―basically it’s like they’re deconstructing and reconstructing the perfect mineral water, which makes us really curious what those “Signature Minerals” will bring in terms of flavor. As for the fizz, we’re also expecting a bubblier delineation from the finer fizz of classic Topo Chico, but hopefully nothing as carbonated as those seltzers where the bubbles are so big it feels like there’s a party in my mouth and I’m not invited. We’ll have to wait ’til (early!) 2027 to find out.
