There’s a reason Haribo is king of the candy game. Well, the fact that it’s been around for over a century doesn’t hurt. But the brand also isn’t afraid to take risks, venture into new flavors and textures―and, as loyal, if unhinged gummy fanatics, we can only try to keep pace. (Seriously, we ranked 15 of their candies and that’s not even the whole catalogue.)

So if anyone had a chance to successfully rival a famous pig-shaped English gummy, it’s Haribo. Their offering? The new Pandarama Sour Mix, a soft, sour, squishy foam “gummi” mix that’s shaped like adorable pandas but bears a striking resemblance to a classic English foamy gummy candy pig (and also just so happens to be available exclusively at Walmart now).
Five Flavors Of Foamy Panda Fun
Haribo has certainly been doing a lot of innovating since their new CEO Jon Hughes took the reins of the company (and we’re reaping the ooey gooey benefits). And while we’re not entirely sure if Haribo timed the release of these panda gummies to coordinate with China’s recent gift of two giant pandas to the Atlanta Zoo, we’re not against the cuteness of the timing.
The faces in your Pandarama bag will be much smaller―also a bit sillier and fun―which should line up nicely with the broad range of plucky, playful sour flavors Haribo chose for the mix. The range of flavors is actually pretty well-rounded, rich, and a bit tropical: Grape, Cherry, Watermelon, Grapefruit, and Mango-Passion Fruit. It’s also won over consumers, 70 percent of whom said they’d buy the Pandarama mix in addition to other candies (and for gummy texture freaks out there―we know who we are―1 in 3 consumers said they loved the soft, fluffy texture of the foam gummy).
Will The Pandas Stand Up To Proud Percy Pig?
Given the striking, and adorable, resemblance between Percy and the Pandas, the question remains: can Haribo’s cute fruity pandas rival the British candy classic? Both Pandarama and Percy Pig candies are made with that lighter, foamy gummy texture, which seems to be having a serious moment now. And again, they do look remarkably (charmingly) similar.
As for the flavor, unlike the zany-but-separate (and sour) fruit flavors of the Pandarama Mix, the classic Percy Pig gummies are simply sweet, with a blend of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, and grape flavor in each adorable pink piglet gummy. In all seriousness, Brits get, well, quite serious about the quality of their Stateside Percy pigs. For our part we’ll be glad to have Pandaramas added to the foamy smiling gummy mix. You can find these pandas exclusively at Walmart now, before going nationwide in January 2027.
