Aldi’s Elevation line is hit and miss, to say the least. Its in-house nutrition-focused brand encompasses a range of protein snacks, shakes, and supplements like collagen peptides, but for every winner, there’s a loser. Its Elevation Nacho Cheese Protein Puffs, for example, are widely regarded as one of its worst items ever, while its Elevation Ultra Filtered Milkshakes are quite literally award recipients. A mixed bag if ever there was one.

Aldi knows a good thing when it sees it, though, and recently it’s capitalized on the success of its Ultra Filtered Milkshakes to deliver a new flavor. And folks? It’s a good one. Let’s discuss.
Aldi Elevation Strawberry Ultra Filtered Milkshake
In the last few weeks, Aldi has quietly dropped a strawberry flavor in its Elevation Ultra Filtered Milkshake line, and customers absolutely love it. Like its other Ultra Filtered Milkshakes, the strawberry flavor has 30 grams of protein per serving and just a few grams of added sugar. It also contains eight vitamins and minerals.
It is also, like the others, a Fairlife dupe – and Aldi customers have been quick to say that its private label version beats out the pricier brand. “I was surprised how much I liked this flavor! I don’t care for the strawberry Fairlife at all,” said one person on Reddit, with another saying that since Aldi came out with its own line, they’ve skipped Fairlife purchases entirely. “These are really good,” stated another.
Hit And Miss
Importantly, not everyone loves Aldi’s new protein shake. One person remarked that Aldi needs to work on the consistency of its drinks a little more, saying that their shakes had a sludgy residue at the bottom, despite being shaken up considerably. Others have said that these drinks (and all the shakes in the Elevation line) can sometimes have a strange sulphuric smell, which is, and it won’t take a genius to figure this one out, pretty off-putting. Aldi’s also hasn’t exactly been nailing it elsewhere with its protein drinks: It recently dropped a pair of protein coconut waters that some people really couldn’t wrap their heads around.
But hey, if price is a key consideration when it comes to your protein purchases — and it’s 2026, after all, so it probably is — then you can likely do a lot worse than these. Just keep hold of that receipt, in case that strange smell rears its head once more.
