Aldi may have had a rocky year of quality control in the eyes of its customers, but credit where credit’s due: It still plays the hits now and again. The supermarket’s shelves are still stocked with both new faves and staples that it continues to get right, and there’s plenty of Aldi finds that are still worth buying. Thankfully, too, it’s managed to maintain the quality of an essential basic – and at a price customers remain very pleased with.

We’re talking about eggs, people. Pasture-raised eggs, to be precise. Aldi? Everyone’s handing it to you on this one.

Aldi Pasture Raised Eggs

This week, a Redditor took to the internet to praise Aldi for its Gold Hen Pasture Raised Eggs, which are currently available at their local store for $3.55 a dozen. “When was someone going to tell me I could get pasture raised eggs for less than $4 a dozen at Aldi?” they said. “Best deal on pasture raised eggs I’ve ever seen, they usually are $6-8 or more a dozen everywhere else!” People subsequently chimed in in agreement on their good price – but also to confirm that these eggs were, in fact, very good. “These are really the best eggs I’ve tasted,” stated a customer, with another person saying that “They’re all I buy.”

On a price level, Aldi definitely has the edge here. Over at Walmart, its Marketside Pasture Raised Brown Eggs have a regular price of $4.16, although they’re currently discounted to $3.74 (so, still more expensive than Aldi’s option). And on a pure quality level, when people are comparing them to farm-bought eggs, as customers have been busy doing in the Reddit thread above, it’s hard to see the downsides of getting these from Aldi over anywhere else.

Get Them While They’re Cheap

Nobody needs to be told that egg prices have fluctuated in the last few years – but as it stands, they’re currently in a much better position. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (via Axios), they’ve dropped more than 20% in the last year, and in September 2026 they sat at an average of $2.27 per dozen (down from $6.23 in March 2025). As such, if you’re going to spend a little extra on pasture raised eggs, there genuinely hasn’t been a better time to do so in the last 18 months. And Aldi’s are as good as any, it seems.
