7 Brew’s Latest Menu Addition Is Right On Trend

7 Brew simply will not rest until it’s given you every drink option under the sun, it seems. The café chain has been steaming ahead this year, as it its typical fashion, with menu updates aplenty, all in the pursuit of new flavor combos and seasonal delights: Throughout July and August, we saw its summer lineup, back to school lineup, and fall menu drop in quick succession. Then, a brief reprieve. A moment of silence. What was it planning?

As it turns out, a protein pivot. 7 Brew’s just announced a major menu move, and this one’s for all you gym-goers out there. 

7 Brew Protein Boost

This week, 7 Brew announced that it was taking its Protein Boost rollout nationwide. Since August, the chain has been offering customers at certain cafés in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this option, but now, it’s available to everyone. 

And what is it? Well, now customers across the US can add 15 grams of protein to any drink on the menu. Yes: Any of them. Its coffees, 7 Brew Energy drinks, 7 Fizz Sodas, teas, lemonades, smoothies, and shakes can all be given a protein hit for $2 extra. 7 Brew’s obviously jumping on the never-ending protein trend here (is it a trend by this point? Maybe it’s just…how we eat now), but this move is also a response to what it’s customers have been clamoring for. “Our guests told us they wanted protein, so we found a way to make it work the 7 Brew way with more choices, more flavors and no limits to what kind of drink it can go in,” said 7 Brew’s chief marketing officer, Nick Chavez, in a press release. “Coffee in the morning? Add protein. Energy in the afternoon? Add protein. Smoothie after a workout? Go for it. Whatever the 7 Brew order is, our guests can add protein.”

New Options

That’s not all! Alongside its Protein Boost rollout, 7 Brew’s kicking off its Booost Your Brew campaign (note the extra “o” in boost there – for additional and appropriate spookiness, of course), with five Halloween drinks arriving. For a limited time, guests can now get:

• Pumpkin Blondie: A monster mash-up of its Blondie drink with pumpkin pie notes. 
• Drizzled Apple 7 Fizz Soda: Crisp green apple is adorned with a caramel drizzle. Think a caramel apple, but drinkable. 
• Rocky Road Mocha: Mocha is layered with toasted marshmallow, hazelnut, and caramel, and then topped with whipped cream. Comforting. 
• Nightshade 7 Brew Energy: Blue raspberry, pomegranate, and lavender, all in an energizing sip. 
• Boo Raspberry Smoothie: Another berry vibe here: A Pom Pom smoothie with blue raspberry, strawberry, and pomegranate.
