7-Eleven Is Bringing Back a Cult-Favorite Slurpee Flavor

Don’t you just love a comeback? We do. We really do. Especially when that comeback comes in frosty, sweet, Slurpee form. A couple of years ago, 7-Eleven’s Banana Slurpee was causing a bit of a ruckus at the convenience store. People fell head over heels for this radioactive-looking, super-sweet frozen drink – and then, of course, it took it away. People begged for its comeback, and they were ignored.

Until now. 7-Eleven has just announced a new banana Slurpee that’s very clearly a bit of a remount of its original flavor. Introducing the new (well, old) Brr-Nana Slurpee, which is available right now, and which is perfect for washing down all those hot 7-Eleven snacks with. Yum.

You Know What Your Road Trip Needs? A Banana-Flavored Cold Drink

7-Eleven first teased the release of the Brr-Nana Slurpee on social media before dropping a bona fide press release a few days later. In the release, the company was very keen to point out that it was listening to its customers. “At 7-Eleven, we’re always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers – especially when it comes to tastes that spark nostalgia and tap into niche flavor fandoms,” 7-Eleven’s senior vice president of Total Beverages, Randy Quinn, said in a statement. “Banana is one of those flavors that customers remember and love, and we’re excited to bring it back and delight those who have been waiting for its return.”

Quinn isn’t just using corporate speak there. People have been waiting for its return. Ever since the Banana Slurpee dropped a few years ago, customers have been clamoring to get it back and searching for information on forums like Reddit about where it could still be in stock. Well, their prayers have been answered. 

Available Year-Round

In a very pleasing move, the Brr-Nana Slurpee isn’t just going to be available for a month or two. No, no. 7-Eleven will be offering this drink throughout the whole year at its stores, and we’d imagine beyond that if it’s as much of a hit as it was the first time. It’s worth noting, though, that it did say that it’s only available at select stores in limited quantities. Come on, we know that you can do better than that, 7-Eleven.

The Brr-Nana Slurpee will also be available for purchase at Stripe and Speedway stores across the country, so you can get your fill even if you don’t have a 7-Eleven nearby. If it does well, the store may well see fit to bring back some of its other flavors as the year goes on, like its Pumpkin Spice Slurpee (which we didn’t love, it must be said, but hey, at least it was novel). Let’s see how far 7-Eleven takes its frosty drink revivals in 2026, eh?
