7-Eleven Is Giving Away Snack-Themed Sneakers and Swag

July 11 is always a day for Slurpee lovers everywhere to rejoice. 7-Eleven’s Free Slurpee Day is one of the greatest ongoing deals in the history of deals. And this summer, 7-Eleven has decided to declare the entire summer 7/11 (I marvel at the power a single convenience store can possess), which they’ve dubbed “Brainfreeze Season.” But this doesn’t mean free Slurpees all day every day from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Dang. Instead, it means a long series of giveaways (drinks, music, and fashion items) for 7-Eleven Rewards members, plus $1 Slurpees all season long.

This week’s giveaway involves various fashion collabs inspired by popular 7-Eleven snack and drink brands, like Slurpee X What the Fanta sneakers, 7-Eleven X Dunkaroos sneakers (which have a 90’s aesthetic and feature Fred, the 7-Eleven Slurpee mascot), and brown and orange Shoe Surgeon X Reese’s sneakers. They’re also giving away two collections featuring full fits: the break dancing-inspired Red Bull BC One collection (a hoodie, drawstring backpack, and hat), and the Flamin’ Hot x Braille collection, which features a sweatshirt, hat, skateboard, and shoes with flame-printed shoelaces. 

So basically, there’s a lot to win here if you are into aggressively nostalgic streetwear inspired by your favorite convenience store items, which I know for a fact most people are. Have you ever met a Dunkaroo hater?

To enter for the giveaway, all you have to do is purchase “select items” through the 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards loyalty programs or via 7NOW delivery. These “select items” include: Big Gulp fountain beverages, Slurpees, Red Bull, Fanta, Reese’s, Dunkaroos, all flavors of Doritos, Ruffles, and Cheetos, and more. And here’s the kicker: When you buy the item featured on the 7-Eleven and Speedway app each week (through September 6), you earn double the entries into the giveaway, thus doubling your chances of winning. 

It’s not unlimited free Slurpees. But this is actually a pretty neat alternative if you just follow along with it—which, let’s face it, I probably won’t. However, I may pay attention juuuust long enough to try and land a pair of those Dunkaroo shoes. I’ve never been all that good at basketball, but I bet if I practiced enough I could attempt a slam Dunkaroo. And that alone would make buying a single item on the 7-Eleven and Speedway app more than worth it.
