Writing this roundup of the best new Aldi finds forced me to come to terms with something pret-ty outrageous: It’s almost May. Yes, even though it was January approximately four days ago, it is now the fifth month of the year. One, two, three, and four have come and gone. While that may be terrifying, a new month also represents exciting new possibilities: you can set new goals, you can decorate the next page of your calendar, and, most importantly, you can try all the new foods that Aldi drops on a monthly basis. Cheers to that!

From frozen fish to frozen desserts, Aldi’s May lineup does not disappoint. Here are the six best Aldi finds to look for in the aisles this month.

Clancy’s Cheesy Queso & Hot Chili Lime Potato Chips

Ever since Clancy’s Reuben Kettle Chips blew my mind a couple months ago, I’ve been impatiently waiting to see what their next magical creations would be. I was not disappointed when I discovered the creations in question are Cheesy Queso Potato Chips and Hot Chili Lime Potato Chips. I don’t know how you could possibly capture the cheesy goodness of queso dip in chip form, but if I’m going to trust anyone with the task, it’s Clancy’s. And I know the Hot Chili Lime chips are potato chips, not tortilla, but I can’t wait to see how the flavor compares to one of the best chips of all time, Trader Joe’s Chili & Lime Rolled Tortilla Chips.

Fremont Fish Market British Beer-Battered Haddock

What’s not to love about an individually portioned frozen meal? Well, sometimes they can be depressing, I will admit. But when that individually portioned frozen meal includes french fries and is air fryer friendly? That is a gift. If the beer-battered fish in this Fremont Fish Market fish and chips meal is half as good as the brand’s fish sticks (which are Sporked’s best air fryer fish sticks), this might just be the best new thing at Aldi this month.

Mama Cozzi’s Steak & Mushroom Pizza

Seeing Mama Cozzi’s Steak & Mushroom Pizza on Aldi’s May lineup made me realize I’ve never had steak on pizza. Ever. What’s that about? I’ve eaten enough pizza to be shocked by this realization and I couldn’t be more thrilled by the fact that it won’t be true for much longer as I will definitely be driving to my local Aldi to pick up this pie. I think you should too.

Mama Cozzi’s Egg & Chorizo Breakfast Pizza

As if realizing I’ve never had steak on pizza didn’t create enough pizza anxiety for this morning, I now have to confront the fact that I’ve never tried scrambled eggs on pizza. Admittedly, I am less shocked by this, as it is quite…unconventional. In fact, maybe I’m even proud of myself for this. Nonetheless, this Egg & Chorizo Breakfast Pizza stacked with scrambled eggs, cheese, chorizo, tomato, jalepeño, and pizza sauce has caught my attention. Mama Cozzi is one creative lady.

Sundae Shoppe Sorbet Flight

Summer is approaching, y’all! It’s really true! That, of course, means it’s time to find your new favorite icy treat to get you through this year’s scorching temps. That can be a daunting task, and Aldi knows that. Enter this Sundae Shoppe Sorbet Flight—blood orange, coconut pineapple, and chocolate sorbet in individually portioned cups. There’s something for everyone…or there’s three things all for you! I’ll be approaching this from the latter viewpoint.

Cattleman’s Ranch Smashed Burgers

As I said, summer is approaching, which means barbecues are approaching, which means burgers are looming ominously in our near future. I say looming ominously because I’ve had one too many disappointing backyard burgers. Let’s face it, the patties often lack flavor and juiciness. That said, I know there are good ones out there and I’m always in search of more. I have high hopes for these Cattleman’s Ranch Smashed Burgers, mainly because they’re smash(ed) burgers, which are the best kind of burgers.
