AriZona Made America into Liberty Lemonade, and We Tried It

There I was, having a normal day, when a large AriZona-branded box hit my doorstep. How peculiar! I’d just gotten my early can of the new Liberty Lemonade drink through the Club ‘Zona program a few days earlier; what could the 99-cent juggernaut possibly have to send me this quickly as a follow-up?

The answer? Three additional cans of their new Liberty Lemonade drink and a crank-operated shaved ice machine. They’re serious about the summertime vibes attached to this one, y’all. I froze a Smootheeze tray’s worth of Liberty Lemonade for future shaving and drank the rest the old-fashioned way for this review.

Cherry Berry Lemonade!

AriZona Liberty Lemonade Fruit Juice Cocktail

Pros: Cherry Berry Lemonade is an unmatched lemonade variant, so this has quickly become one of my favorite AriZona juice drinks. The described tart cherry and juicy berries deliver a balanced blend of sour and sweet that blows their other recent blended-berry Fruit Juice Cocktail out of the water.

Many of AriZona‘s recent juice cocktails have been too darn sweet to finish in one sitting, but this drink is perfectly balanced–it’s almost too easy to drink. (While these Big Cans officially contain three servings, we all know we’re knocking out AriZona drinks in one sitting.)

Cons: Despite the name, this isn’t exactly going for “lemonade.” Per the can’s description, it’s actually aiming for lemon ice. Last I checked, lemon ice is just frozen lemonade, and this doesn’t deliver any of that Sprite Chill cooling effect. That exaggeration for the sake of the theme isn’t the end of the world, but it did raise an eyebrow.

Where can I get AriZona Liberty Lemonade for myself?

While I didn’t get official confirmation before my initial coverage of this drink, AriZona has now confirmed this drink will be exclusive to 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations across the country. That makes this the third AriZona Juice Cocktail exclusive to those chains in recent memory, following last year’s Dole Whip-esque Whipped Pineapple Orange and variant-of-a-variant Apple Lime Rickey (with a few others exclusive to different chains).
