Folks, I come to you with a revelation: I like popcorn now. For years, my friends have shunned me for being staunchly anti-popcorn. So, when Tyler and I watched Belle’s Gourmet Popcorn take home multiple honors at the awards ceremony preceding the Sweets & Snacks Expo, I didn’t have high hopes. Nevertheless, I checked out their booth to sample their lineup as part of my journalistic duty—and I was cured. Today, I bring to you the first and only popcorn I’ve ever liked; Belle’s Gourmet Dubai Chocolate Popcorn changes minds.

Dubai Chocolate Popcorn!

Belle’s Gourmet Dubai Chocolate Popcorn

Pros: Per the packaging, this is “kettle corn coated in pistachio butter, drizzled with milk chocolate & topped with crispy kadaif.” (For more information on this combination of flavors, check out Sporked’s own Hebba Gouda’s explanation of Dubai chocolate.) In layman’s terms, this is delicious without being a textural nightmare. I’m so glad they didn’t use actual pistachios as a topping. The popcorn pieces have the perfect amount of chocolate without it being such a dense coating that they lose the popcorn texture entirely.

Cons: My biggest complaint: I can’t get any more of this popcorn right now. Read on for more details.

Where can I get Dubai chocolate popcorn for myself?

At the moment, Belle’s is undergoing major branding/packaging/formula renovations ahead of any retail launches. While it looks like they’re almost ready to go, I can’t give a solid date on when exactly you can get your hands on the best popcorn ever made. (While we’re being transparent, I definitely smuggled the popcorn I reviewed for you today off the Sweets & Snacks Expo floor because it’s just that good.)

What other flavors is Belle’s Gourmet Popcorn launching?

Belle’s is launching an entire slate of delicious popcorn variants. I tried most of them during the Sweets & Snacks Expo, and there wasn’t a bad bag in the bunch. Alongside the subject of today’s review, the full lineup includes Salted Caramel, Dill Pickle, Caramel, Kettle Corn, Birthday Cake, Chocolatey Drizzle, Peanut Butter Crunch, Cookies & Cream, White Chocolatey Ube, Matcha Latte, and Lemon Meringue (my second favorite). Maybe we’ll do an “Every Flavor Ranked” when the line gets into retail.
