The best yogurt pouches should have great flavor, reasonable sugar content, and, ideally, real probiotic benefits in every pouch. While taste matters most in our rankings, there are other things to consider from this convenient, shelf-stable “health” snack. Some brands have too much sugar per serving to really be considered a healthy food option; others don’t contain live and active cultures, which might be problematic for people looking for gut health benefits. (It’s a bit of a culture shock, really…haha, get it?)
For this taste test, we picked up all the brands of yogurt pouches we could find, from Stonyfield yogurt pouches to Danimals yogurt pouches, weighing the positives and negatives that came with each. Here are the five best yogurt pouches for toddlers, kids, and, well, anyone who prefers sipping to a bowl and spoon.

- Banana GoGo Squeez Yogurtz
-
GoGo Squeez is really just a healthier version of GoGurt. I tried all seven flavors, and while I do think these yogurt pouches taste fine overall, there’s no reason for them to be so sweet. With 14 grams of sugar per pouch, they were too cloying for me to want to finish one. I don’t tolerate super sweet foods well, though; I could definitely see kids really liking these. Their banana flavor tastes particularly fresh and not as downright sugary as the others. If you could find a way to freeze them as little froyo freeze pops, they’d be even better! (But, heads up: The cultures that the yogurt are made with are inactive because the yogurt is heated after the culturing process; if live cultures are important to you, there are other yogurts on this list that are better suited to your needs.

- Siggi’s Strawberry Banana Yogurt Pouch
-
Of the five best yogurt pouches on this list, Siggi’s have the lowest sugar content (7g per pouch), with the added benefit of live yogurt cultures in every pouch. This is the best option for plain greek yogurt lovers, with a leaner texture and strong sour tang. Taste-wise, it reminds me more of greek yogurt mixed with strawberries and bananas than a sweet, flavored treat. Though marketed to kids, I’m not sure if these are the best yogurt pouches for toddlers and children with picky tastes—but that lower sugar content makes Siggi’s one of the healthiest options for many people. Worth a try, if you ask me!

- Danimals Squeezables Paw Patrol Cotton Candy Yogurt Pouches
-
I wanted to hate these. I was so sure I would hate them, too. But dang, Danimals yogurt pouches really nailed this unique flavor. This yogurt pouch is light, bright, and despite being cotton candy flavored (you know, pure spun sugar), weirdly not super sweet. Somehow, these yogurt pouches actually taste refreshing, like a frozen dessert at a county fair. Each serving has 10g of sugar—which, honestly, is not as bad as other yogurt pouches we tried. But no, these don’t contain live cultures, either.

- Horizon Organic Growing Years Strawberry Lowfat Yogurt Pouches
-
Now, similar to the Siggi’s brand, Horizon’s yogurt pouches taste like yogurt. Their strawberry pouch has that signature yogurt tang, infused with a mellow, lightly sweet strawberry flavor. These contain 8g of sugar per yogurt pouch and live probiotic cultures. Personally, I don’t find them as tasty as our #1, but they’re definitely some of the best yogurt pouches you can buy for the kiddos. (And the adult…os.)

- Stonyfield Strawberry Banana
-
Throughout this taste test, Stonyfield’s Strawberry Banana yogurt pouch was the one I kept coming back to. (I would literally cleanse my palate with it.) This tastes the most like a blended smoothie, with the perfect balance of creamy and thick. The flavors just harmonize. With 9g of sugar and five different live yogurt cultures, it’s not a terrible choice for a healthier snack for the kiddos. When you take into account flavor and quality, Stonyfield yogurt pouches are the best yogurt pouches we found, hands down. It’s pouch perfection, if you ask me.
