Two Sweet-Savory Jams Are Back at Aldi and Shoppers Are STOKED

It’s a beautiful day when your favorite discontinued product gets a second chance at life. The heavens open up, angels sing, you start to believe in life again. This is a phenomenon we frequently talk about when it comes to Trader Joe’s, but fans of other retailers encounter it, too. Aldi, which relies on roughly the same model as TJ’s (i.e. selling mostly proprietary products), is one of those stores.

Sometimes products vanish from Aldi’s shelves never to return—personally, I’ll never get over the loss of the Deutsche Kuche herbed mustard—but once in a while, out of nowhere, beloved favorites return for a seasonal run.

Two popular Aldi jams are getting a redemption tour

Aldi shoppers are celebrating because two savory-sweet jams are back in store for a limited time: Berryhill Pineapple Jalapeno Spread and Berryhill Bacon Berry Jam. They’ve been gone less than a year, but that short absence seems to have made the heart grow fonder based on people’s reactions on Reddit.

While the jams were gone, Aldi gave their packaging a little bit of a glow-up. The old design gave “little house on the prairie” energy; the new design is much more fun and modern. That’s besides the point, though. The point is, we’re excited to have these back and on our plates once more!

Our mouths are just watering at the possibilities for these two Aldi jams…

Just imagine how good a cream cheese-topped bagel would be with either of these—bacon for a bit of breakfast-y flavor or jalapeno for a little heat with the dairy. A lot of folk on Reddit are saying they used the Berryhill Pineapple Jalapeno Spread to make the classic easy app of pepper jelly and cream cheese—just put a block of cream cheese on a plate, dump the jam on top, and scoop it up with some crackers. Or you can put them both on a charcuterie board and see which Aldi cheeses make the best pairing. Don’t even get me started on how fantastic these would be paired with anything grilled.

Both retail for $3.99 and they appear to be in the store’s seasonal section. Keep your eyes peeled!
