If you’re looking for the best aloe vera juice that is just straight-up aloe vera juice, then this is not the article for you. We tried plain aloe vera juice and while it might be okay to add to a smoothie or take as a shot, it’s not an enjoyable beverage to sip on its own. At best, it is an acquired taste. We are all about good flavors here at Sporked, so this is a ranking of the best tasting aloe vera juice that you can drink straight, without building up a tolerance for the natural bitter flavor.
Why would you want to drink aloe juice? The purported benefits of aloe vera juice include antioxidants, digestive aid, and heartburn relief. But if you’re drinking the stuff we’re reviewing (the stuff that actually tastes good because of sugar or added fruit or a mix of both), the main aloe vera juice benefits are that it is refreshing and it is a unique beverage with chunks. There aren’t many other beverages you have to chew—really it’s just boba tea and coconut water with pulp and aloe juice.
So, if you’re looking to cool yourself from the inside out and have a little something to chew while you do it, here is the best aloe vera juice to drink.
- Viloe Aloe Vera Drink Coconut
-
This aloe vera juice smells like a tropical vacation—a mix of sunscreen and aloe vera gel and Piña Colada mix. It’s very sweet but still extremely refreshing. There are tons of chunks suspended in the slightly viscous juice and they are a bit more jellied than the chunks in the other aloe juices on this list. It makes for a very pleasant chew. Serve this ice cold with very spicy food like an extra hot Thai curry.

- Visvita Aloe Vera Mango
-
This was the best aloe vera juice with mango that we tried. It smells like mango candy and it tastes like mango nectar. It’s sweet—very sweet—but still manages to not be cloying. The chunks help break up the honeyed, tropical flavor and help signal that you’re not just drinking mango juice, you’re drinking mango aloe juice.

- HanAsia Aloe Low Sugar
-
Boasting 20% less sugar than the original HanAsia aloe vera juice (more on that one later), this certainly tastes less sweet but only in a side-by-side taste test. If you sipped it on its own, I don’t think you would notice that it didn’t have as much sugar. It actually tastes like aloe—but without the bitterness. There’s a vegetal earthiness and some tartness—almost like rhubarb. It goes down easy and it’s definitely the best aloe vera juice if you’re looking to cut out some sugar (but still don’t want to drink straight aloe juice).

- HanAsia Aloe Pineapple
-
The only reason this pineapple aloe vera juice isn’t number one is because it’s more pineapple juice than aloe vera juice. It smells super zesty and it tastes like real, fresh pineapple. It’s better than most straight pineapple juice out there! It’s super tangy and tart and has a fresh, grassy pineapple quality to it. I don’t get a ton of aloe from it—aside from the aloe chunks—but that’s A-OK. It’s a delicious juice.

- HanAsia Aloe Original
-
I tried a few “original” aloe vera juices with sugar as well as one”pure” aloe juice, and this one tasted like the best compromise between the two types of aloe juice. It’s slightly tropical with aloe’s signature earthy sweetness, but it’s not crazy sweet. Some of the other “original” aloe juices I tasted were like gummy bear juice. This tasted like actual juice from an actual plant rather than sugar water. And there are lots and lots of chunks, which add both crunch and acidity. It’s great on its own but it’d also be good in a smoothie or mixed with other fruit juices. It’s the best aloe vera juice brand, for sure—good for soothing an overspiced tongue or simply cooling you down on a sweltering day.
