We all know Guy Fieri as the Mayor of Flavortown (the fictional village of all things tasty that he invented in his mind). Guy initially rose to fame after appearing on the Food Network reality competition show Next Food Network Star. Now, he is literally a Food Network Star and has hosted multiple shows on the network. He’s also a restauranteur and the creator of “donkey sauce.” Now, he’s adding frozen food mogul to his resume. But do the Guy Fieri frozen meals have as much personality as the man himself? Let’s find out!
This could’ve been so good. Cheese, chicken, tortilla chips, and enchilada sauce. What could possibly go wrong?! Sadly, everything. The chicken is rubbery, the cheese is hard, and the whole dish glistens with grease. The enchilada sauce is bland. There is a green herb on top that looks like parsley and truly tastes rancid. This dish does not put the shama lama in the ding dong.
The pork is fine, but everything else is a miss. The pineapple has no flavor, the sauce is completely forgettable, and the rice is literal mush. I had the highest hopes for this out out of all the Guy Fieri frozen meals because it looks pretty good, but there is no wiz bang wow in this.
This is one of the Guy Fieri frozen meals that is actually edible. It still, however, does nothing for me. It’s very wet and doesn’t taste like mac and cheese or sloppy joe. It smells like red bell peppers and tastes like salt. The one pro is that the noodles are cooked well. Well-cooked noodles are not enough to make a dish funkalicious, though.
This is the best of all the Guy Fieri frozen meals and that should tell you everything you need to know. It’s a 4/10. It’s not good. It just tastes like pepperoni grease from bad pepperoni. You get no other flavors whatsoever. Needless to say, you certainly could not eat this on a flip-flop.
