The Best Caesar Salad Kit Is the Ultimate Side

The best Caesar salad kit has fresh and crunchy lettuce, tangy and salty dressing, and fun mix-ins like croutons and parmesan cheese. It should work as a quick lunch topped with some rotisserie chicken or as a perfect side for dinner. But with so many Caesar salad kits on the market, how do you choose one? Luckily, you don’t have to!

We tasted every single Caesar salad kit we could get our hands on to find the best Caesar salad kit of all time. This taste test was hard because, to be honest, all of them were pretty good. There are, however, some Caesar salad kits that are just okay and others that absolutely slap. We have meticulously researched with our mouths, and these are the best Caesar salad kits you can buy.

Mexican caesar salad kit

Best Mexican Caesar

Taylor Farms Mexican Caesar Salad Kit

My problem with the typical Mexican Caesar salad kit is that it often does not taste or eat like Caesar salad at all. And, usually, they don’t taste nearly as good as any Mexican or Mexican-inspired salad I’ve ever had. This Taylor Farms Mexican Caesar salad kit, however, gets it just right. You get delicious notes of Mexican food, like jalapeño and chili powder, and hints of classic Caesar salad, like tang and cheesiness. My favorite part is the chili powder-seasoned croutons. They come with roasted pepita seeds!

Best Bacon Caesar

Marketside Bacon Caesar Salad Kit

Until this taste test, I didn’t realize bacon Caesar salad kits were such a big thing. I don’t know if I’ve ever even seen a bacon Caesar salad on a restaurant menu or had it at someone’s house. I loved it, though! Bacon makes a salty Caesar salad even saltier, and there’s certainly nothing wrong with that. Plus, it adds a nice smoky flavor. Walmart’s Marketside label makes our favorite version of a bacon Caesar salad kit because, on top of being a great version of a Caesar, the bacon is crispier and smokier than the bacon in other kits on the market.

Best Creamy Caesar

Trader Joe’s Organic Caesar Salad Kit

This Trader Joe’s Organic Caesar Salad Kit is among the best Caesar salad kits because of the super creamy dressing it comes with. It’s still bright and tangy, but it’s also rich and cheesy. On top of that, it’s super affordable. This is one of the best Caesar salad kits we tried in this taste test and it also ranked near the top of our list of the best Trader Joe’s salad kits. Just make sure you don’t accidentally buy the regular Caesar Style Salad Kit. That one is totally different and isn’t very good.

Best Mix-Ins

Dole Ultimate Caesar Salad Kit

The Dole Ultimate Caesar Salad Kit ranks for having the best mix-ins because it comes with a spice packet in addition to croutons, dressing, and parmesan cheese. And not just any parmesan cheese, but shaved parmesan romano. The spice packet is described as garlic herb and it adds a ton of salty, seasoned deliciousness to your salad. I’d never seen a salad kit with a seasoning packet, but now I want all salad kits to have them. This is the best Caesar salad kit if you like a little extra flavor.

Best Chopped Caesar

Good & Gather Chopped Caesar Salad Kit

I am obsessed with the Good & Gather Chopped Caesar Salad Kit. This is the best Caesar salad kit from Target for good (& gather) reason. It is so crunchy. The lettuce is fresh and chopped into perfectly sized pieces. Instead of croutons, you get crouton crumbs that coat every single leaf in the bag. The dressing is both creamy and tart. This salad made me believe that, in general, a chopped Caesar salad kit is almost always superior to a regular Caesar salad kit.

Earthbound Farm Organic Classic Caesar Salad Kit

Earthbound Farm Organic Caesar Salad Kit is the best Caesar salad kit. There is no doubt about it. It has the perfect Caesar dressing. It’s tangy, creamy, salty, peppery, and has an umami flavor without being too fishy. It comes with parmesan shreds instead of grated parm, which makes it feel elegant. The croutons are so garlicky and well seasoned. There were basically no bad pieces of lettuce in this bag, which is rare in a salad kit. I like this so much that I even ranked it above a chopped Caesar salad kit (which is my favorite). Go buy this Caesar salad kit and you’ll get what all the hype is about.
