The Best Things We Ate This Week (December 4-8)

Every week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Progresso Reduced Sodium Savory Chicken & Wild Rice Soup

I cannot believe this soup is reduced sodium. It’s so flavorful! The pieces of chicken are hearty and there’s lots of nice veggies. The wild rice is the real kicker. It is so nutty and adds an incredible flavor to the soup. I would happily buy this again.

Kingston Creamery Breezy Blue Cheese Crumbles

If you’re looking for the best crumbled blue cheese to buy, it’s this one! It’s so flavorful and rich and creamy. It would be wonderful sprinkled over a salad or mixed into mashed potatoes. Fans of blue cheese should absolutely purchase these.

Gingerbread Toast Crunch

We loved their Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch last year and this year General Mills is at it again with Gingerbread Toast Crunch. It tastes like super sweet, highly spiced gingerbread cookies mixed with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. What more could you want?!

Rao’s Arrabbiata Ketchup

This ketchup is actually so spicy! We love it! It shocked us. The kick in this is so unapologetic. It would be wonderful on fries or a burger or licked off of your fingers. I brought it home and am still enjoying it.

Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels

These are delicious. The caramel is creamy and plentiful. The chocolate is dark and rich. There is so much salt. My only complaint is that I can’t buy a gigantic box of them. Sad!
