All the Combos Flavors, Ranked

The best Combos flavors actually taste like the food pictured on the package. The flavor of pizza, nachos, or wings should fill your mouth when you’re eating Combos. There should be absolutely no doubt about which iconic flavor profile you’re consuming. Plus, the inside should be creamy and cheesy, and the outside should be crunchy.

I was very excited for this taste test, but I’ll be honest, it made me realize that Combos are an acquired taste. They are much drier than I remember them being on my road trips growing up. That being said, some brought the flavor and some left me wanting more oomph. Here’s our list of every Combos flavor that is currently sold, ranked from worst to best.

Combos!

Nacho Cheese Baked Pretzel

This is the worst Combos flavor and it’s the most difficult to acquire, so just forget about these entirely. No need to buy a jumbo pack on Amazon for $30 just to be disappointed.

Combos!

Buffalo Blue Cheese Baked Pretzel

This one is a huge bummer for me. I love buffalo sauce– and blue cheese-flavored anything, but, sadly, this is one of the worst Combos flavors. It doesn’t really taste like buffalo sauce or blue cheese. They’re dry and the pasty filling is barely tangy or cheesy. This is a massive missed opportunity.

Combos!

Pizzeria Baked Pretzel

These taste like Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheesy Pizza Goldfish, but less good. There’s just not as much pizza flavor in these as there is in flavor-blasted pizza Goldfish. Because of that, I would skip these and catch the fish instead.

Combos!

Pepperoni Pizza Baked Cracker

These were a hit in the Sporked office. They do actually taste kind of like pepperoni pizza! The filling tastes strongly of fennel seed and tomato. You don’t get that greasy, fatty pizza flavor, but it is a salty morsel that is reminiscent of the real deal.

Combos!

Cheddar Cheese Baked Pretzel

These are good, but not as good as the cheddar-filled cracker version. These do, however, confirm that the cheddar cheese filling is a superior Combos flavor filling. It’s salty, cheesy, and a little sharp. I love the salt on the pretzel exterior. They are almost a perfect 10. Almost.

Combos!

Cheddar Cheese Baked Cracker

There’s a reason why cheese and crackers are an iconic duo. They’re a classic combo that tastes damn good! We’ve already established that cheddar cheese is simply the best addition to the Combos tube, but these are proof that the best Combos tube is the cracker! The pretzel crust is good, but the cracker crust is perfect. It’s flaky, crunchy, and light. This is the best Combos flavor.

      • According to their website, they do not make them anymore so we cannot rank them!

  • The nacho flavor was the best in my opinion before they were discontinued. When they brought the back they changed the recipe cause they taste nothing like I remember.
