The Best Things We Ate This Week (April 3-7)

Every week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Route 11 Dill Pickle Potato Chips

These can be hard to come by if you don’t live on the East Coast. You might end up shelling out a pretty penny to have a Route 11 multipack sent to you via Amazon, but I promise it’ll be worth it. These are some of our new favorite chips, this pickle flavor in particular. It’s just so authentic. You get dill. You get vinegar. You get garlic. You get salt. You get full pickle!

Mango Pepsi

I am shocked that this is so good. I (famously) hate Pepsi. Pepsi Mango, on the other hand, is a different story. This stuff is delicious. It tastes like peach-mango juice mixed with a little bit of soda. I know that still doesn’t sound good, but it is! I promise! Give this a try and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Rao’s Homemade Arrabbiata Sauce

Rao’s almost never misses. People will say their sauces are overhyped, and those people will be wrong pretty much every time. I was just as skeptical as anyone else when it came to a $10 jar of tomato sauce, but this stuff is just so good. Their sauces have the perfect amount of luxurious oil, and they are all so savory that it tastes like there’s meat in them, even when there isn’t. Their arrabbiata sauce is like the delicious Rao’s marinara you know and love with a nice little kick. Yum!

Syrah Soaked Toscano Cheese Spread & Dip

You already know that this Trader Joe’s cheese is phenomenal. And in spread form, it’s just as delicious. My colleague Gwynedd Stuart described it as fancy pimento cheese, and I love that. Put this on the cheeseboard at your next party and people will absolutely freak over this creamy, herby, winey dip.

Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets

I’ve seen people post on TikTok about this viral chicken brand for months now. Everyone says their fillets and nuggets are a direct dupe for the chicken from a popular fast food restaurant that I do not patronize. And I’d believe it! These are super juicy, moist, and crunchy. My first thought was that you could make incredible homemade chicken and waffles with these. If you try these, they will make regular appearances on your grocery list.
