Best Things We Ate This Week (Jan. 9-13)

Each week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA

This beer is nice and refreshing, with light notes of citrusy hops and a welcome dose of malt to balance things out. We feel confident that IPA fans will love Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA—and that IPA haters may change their minds after trying it.

Señor Rico Rice Pudding

This rice pudding tastes homemade and that’s why we loved it. There’s a sprinkle of cinnamon on top that really adds a punch of flavor when you stir it into the pudding. The texture is so creamy and rich. I don’t typically reach for rice pudding, but I’d definitely reach for this.

Trader Joe’s Buffalo Chicken Dip

Good job, Trader Joe’s! This is an exceptional product. What I love about this buffalo chicken dip is that it tastes like buffalo chicken dip mixed with ranch. It gives you the whole experience of enjoying a buffalo wing. Plus, the tub is big and very affordable. I would absolutely put this out at a party or enjoy it as a quick lunch. I slathered it on a tortilla with lettuce, cucumber, and red onion, and it was incredible.

Litehouse Southwest Ranch Dip & Spread

Alert!!! This tastes exactly like Taco Bell’s spicy ranch. If you aren’t familiar, you need to immediately become familiar with this Litehouse dip. It’s perfection. It’s creamy, tangy, and zesty. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Homemade Cheesy Gordita Crunch, here I come!

Trader Joe’s Chicken Soup Dumplings

Trader Joe’s Chicken Soup Dumplings are absolutely delicious. These are better than most restaurant soup dumplings I’ve had. I think it’s smart to grab a box of these and always have them stocked in your freezer for a quick solo meal or an appetizer for two. This is, arguably, the best Trader Joe’s product.
