Each week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.
- On the Border Tortilla Rounds Tortilla Chips
-
On the Border never misses. Every single product we’ve tried from them has been wonderful. Their Café Style tortilla chips are our pick for the best tortilla chips, and this week we tried their Tortilla Rounds, which are phenomenal, too. If you want tortilla chips, grab any bag from On the Border!
- Tostito’s Creamy Spinach Dip
-
We were absolutely shocked that this tastes good. In my mind, good spinach dip couldn’t be shelf stable. Boy, was I wrong! This dip is delicious. It’s so flavorful and creamy. It’s filled with spinach, but it isn’t too spinach-y. We ate it at room temperature, but it would also taste great either hot or straight out of the fridge. This will be a staple at my parties from here on out.
- Kroger Bavarian Style Soft Pretzel Sticks
-
There is no need to order soft pretzels at restaurants anymore. These Kroger Bavarian Style Soft Pretzel Sticks are better than anything I’ve ever had at a restaurant. They’re soft and salty and ideal for dipping. I popped one into the microwave for 30 seconds and it was sheer perfection. You should keep these in your freezer for emergency snacking or to impress last-minute guests.
- Gardein Ultimate Plant-Based Chick’n Buffalo Wings
-
Gardein Ultimate Vegan Boneless Buffalo Wings are as close to real boneless buffalo wings as you can get. The texture is meaty and the sauce has a nice spice level to it. Plus, the nuggets stay nice and crispy because the sauce comes packaged separately. Pair these with the Follow Your Heart vegan blue cheese dressing and you’re in business, baby!
- El Monterey Extra Crunchy Diablo Chicken Taquitos
-
All taquitos are delicious because they’re taquitos, but El Monterey’s Extra Crunchy Diablo Chicken Taquitos are extra delicious. First of all, they’re actually spicy. The heat is perfectly balanced by the meaty, cheesy filling. The outside is super crunchy. Go buy these right now and thank me later.
