The Best Things We Ate This Week (May 1-5)

Every week, the Sporked team sidles up to the tasting table and sets out to find the absolute best of the best packaged foods, the gold hidden in the grocery aisles. Each week we’ll bring you five standouts that truly rocked our taste buds and changed our lives—or at least our buying habits. Here are the best things we ate this week.

Daiya Dairy-Free Mozzarella Style Deluxe Cheeze Sticks

These taste surprisingly similar to real cheese (but not exactly the same, obviously). Not all Daiya products are created equal and this one is now at the very top of our list. It’s creamy, mild, and salty. I would happily enjoy these if I was cutting out dairy.

Boar’s Head Sauerkraut

Boar’s Head Sauerkraut is so much better than other grocery store sauerkraut. It’s salty, crunchy, and a little funky. You get that lightly carbonated sensation from the fermentation process, which I absolutely love. This tastes like sauerkraut you’d get a restaurant. Buy it!

Walmart Southern Style White Meat Chicken Salad

Walmart is the place for store-bought chicken salad. Trust me. They have multiple varieties and they’re all good. The best, however, is the “southern-style” version. It’s savory with just a hint of sweetness. It’s packed with chicken. It’s perfectly salted. Good job, Walmart!

Screamin’ Sicilian Holy Pepperoni Frozen Pizza

There is so much pepperoni on the Screamin’ Sicilian Holy Pepperoni Frozen Pizza. It really gives pepperoni pizza. The sauce is delicious and there’s just the right amount of it. There’s plenty of cheese. The pepperoni has a nice spice. It’s a pretty perfect frozen pizza.

Bobo’s PB&J Oat Snacks

Why are these so good?! They look like an Uncrustables that you sat on and then left out in the sun for 100 days. They taste, however, like the best thing I’ve ever eaten. They are so moist. The peanut butter is nutty without being overpowering. The jam is perfectly sweet and tart. These are shockingly delicious.
