If you don’t want caffeine but you do want soda, there’s always lemon-lime soda. But what about those of us who want both lemon-lime soda and caffeine? Big Soda finally got my letters. Today, I’m reviewing a can of caffeinated Sprite. This is what dreams are made of.
They finally made caffeinated Sprite!?
Hold your horses, folks: I have exceptionally bad news. Sprite+ Lemon, the caffeinated Sprite variant I’ll be reviewing today, is not available in the United States. Sprite+ Lemon was only produced for select countries, including the Philippines and Australia. A friend of mine had to smuggle a can to me from a trip abroad. I also believe this drink may now be discontinued. Apparently, Sprite+ Lemon has become harder and harder to find in the Philippines over the past year; Australian Sporkers (all 3 of you), sound off with your local Sprite+ Lemon experience in the comments.
Sprite+ Lemon
Caffeinated Sprite!
Pros: This is definitely Sprite…if you doubled the lemon content and added a little extra bite, on account of the caffeine. In that regard, this drink is exactly what it claims to be. Sprite+ Lemon is definitely one of my favorite Sprite variants to date—not as good as Sprite Chill, but definitely better than Sprite Lymonade.
Cons: Don’t get me wrong, I like this Sprite flavor plenty, but between my pal’s glowing review and the amount of work it took to get the drink, I was really hoping for a blowout experience. But Sprite+ Lemon might be too lemony. The uber-tart carbonation in the first sip of this drink hurt a little.

Would you give caffeinated Sprite+ Lemon a shot if it were released stateside?
