Calypso has spent years building its reputation on colorful bottles packed with tropical-inspired lemonade flavors. Now the brand is taking a completely different path with a brand-new lineup that comes with something most fans didn’t expect.

The brand already has eight fruity lemonade flavors, so instead of expanding that, it’s entering the fast-growing caffeinated beverage market with four Zero Sugar Sparkling Lemonades.
Four New Caffeinated Lemonades
Calypso has quietly introduced four new Zero Sugar Sparkling Lemonades with caffeine and the flavors are exciting. The new lineup includes Sour Cherry Cranberry, Cucumber Coconut, Pineapple Pear, and Grapefruit Orange.
Each flavor comes in a 12-ounce can and contains 100mg of natural caffeine along with 200mg of natural L-Theanine―an amino acid naturally found in tea leaves that is often paired with caffeine to provide steady energy without the jittery feeling that caffeine alone can sometimes cause. The new caffeinated sparkling drinks are also completely zero sugar, which is not surprising given Calypso already has three zero sugar drinks (with no caffeine).
The new caffeinated sparkling lemonades are launching for summer 2026 and are already available on Amazon. Calypso hasn’t announced where else they’ll be sold yet, so more retailers may be revealed soon.
Sparkling Lemonades Aren’t New For Calypso
While the caffeine is a first, the bubbles aren’t. Calypso has already dipped its toes into sparkling drinks with a collection of zero-sugar sparkling lemonades including Apple Oasis, Blood Orange Breeze and Berry Bloom.
This new collection of drinks takes things a step further. Instead of simply adding carbonation, Calypso is joining the growing trend of functional drinks by mixing lemonade with ingredients that can help provide an energy boost. We have already seen brands like Starbucks add up to 125mg of caffeine like the Mango Strawberry Energy Refresher and Mango Dragonfruit Energy Refresher.
Going All In On The Trend
The new caffeinated sparkling drinks show that Calypso isn’t happy just sticking to what made it popular. As functional beverages continue to gain popularity, Calypso appears ready to compete in a category that’s attracting everyone from soda companies to coffee brands.
The new drinks are arriving this summer and could appeal to fans looking for an alternative to coffee, traditional energy drinks, or sugary sodas.
For longtime fans, these cans may be the biggest shake-up the brand has introduced yet. They still deliver lemonade, but now they also offer an energy boost that wasn’t part of the Calypso experience before.
