It’s official. The ’90s are back in full force. Every brand under the sun is embracing nostalgia―with varying success. One fan-favorite childhood brand is bringing out an unexpected addition to the lineup of summer drops. Capri Sun went to the drawing board and came back with quite a creative twist on their iconic yellow straw.

Turn Them Into Popsicles!
That’s right. Dubbed “Capri Sun Straw Pops,” Capri Sun has gone and made popsicle molds that are inspired by the brand’s signature yellow straws. To be fair, their hands were a little tied considering the flavors haven’t really changed much over the years. A popsicle mold is also a simple way to get your name out there just in time for summer.
Capri Sun will be selling a limited number of their Capri Sun Straw Pops exclusively at Walmart.com beginning Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 12PM ET for $5 “a pop.” I can only hope that by “a pop” Capri Sun actually means you get a few tubes in a pack. While the Straw Pops are pretty big, only having one would create a real bottleneck if you wanted to start any sizable production line. Hopefully these aren’t a single serving endeavor.
How Should You Use Them?
I think the first thing we have to put into our new Straw Pops is a Capri Sun or two. These are girthy tubes after all, so we may need a couple to fill it to the brim. Realistically, you can also put the same liquid you’d put into any popsicle mold you may have used in the past. Sporked also conveniently has a little list of two-ingredient popsicles that you can make from a few ingredients from the grocery store.
Once they’re all frozen up, you just have to squeeze the sides of the tube and dig in! To get the full effect, I think we have to add some food dye into the Capri Suns if we hope to freeze them in our pops. Why have a clear popsicle to slurp on when you could turn your tongue blue, after all?
However you choose to dig in, Capri Sun’s hoping that these Straw Pops will help you keep cool this summer. They’re aiming to give you a new experience through a nostalgic angle. I’d say they’ve set us up for success, so count me in for crunch time on trying to check out with one of these on July 14th.
