We Finally Tried Caramel Cold Brew M&M’s

There are so many M&M’s flavors, y’all. This year alone, I’ve covered varieties like Strawberries & Creme, Marshmallow Crispy, Cookies & Creme, and Honey Roasted Peanut. It’s so hard to keep track of all the new flavors that I find myself on Sporked searching nearly every flavor I find in stores to make sure we haven’t already written it up.

So, when I realized we hadn’t covered the topic of today’s review, I assumed it was new…which it isn’t. Today, we’ve got our hands on a very wily flavor. Caramel Cold Brew M&M’s have been around off-and-on for two years now—and it totally slipped by me! I’ve been to multiple M&M Stores since this flavor was first released! Let’s see if this is a hidden treasure or if it should have stayed hidden even longer.

Pros: I found the original caramel M&M’s a little generic, but these flavored-caramel M&M’s are an improvement on the original. Each M&M contains flavored caramel; the coffee flavoring is infused into the caramel core at the center of these jumbo M&M’s. While some M&M’s have moved into flavoring the chocolate, this one goes straight to the core with a jolt of classic coffee flavor.

Cons: I went back and forth on this M&M’s flavor. If I’d stopped at just one M&M, this would have been a six-sporker…but I found myself craving more and ended up eating an embarrassing number of these while finishing up this article. The coffee flavor isn’t specifically cold brew, but I’m not even sure how they’d pull that off. I know that cold brew is trendy, but “Caramel Macchiato M&M’s” would sell just as well.

Verdict: If you like Caramel M&M’s and coffee-flavored chocolate, this is perfect for you. If you don’t, you can probably skip this one and grab one of those 80 other varieties.
