Aldi has two new flavors of Clancy’s iconic kettle corn coming at you this fall: Clancy’s Maple Drizzled Kettle Corn and Pumpkin Spice Drizzled Kettle Corn. We got out hands on it to find out if they’re must-haves this month or yet more seasonal snacks you can skip. We love Clancy’s chips and Clancy’s popcorn, so let’s see how this Clancy’s product stacks up. Here is our honest review of both flavors.
This stuff is good. The flavors are bold and unapologetic. I personally like the maple version better. It tastes like maple fudge. I’m not a pumpkin spice lover, but I think people who are will love the warm flavors of this rendition of pumpkin spice. In both bags, the popcorn tastes fresh. Clancy isn’t shy with the drizzles, either. Plus, the bags are big and cheap. For less than $3, I think this is a wonderful seasonal snack and I would definitely buy it again.
There are two reasons these new Clancy’s popcorns don’t score a perfect 10/10. First, I think they need a little hint of salt. A little salinity would really balance the maple and pumpkin spice beautifully. Secondly, the drizzle melts the moment it touches your fingers, making it a bit of a messy seasonal snack. I don’t really mind, though. It’s worth the messy fingers.
This product is new at Aldi, so make sure to buy it before it disappears from shelves as the season progresses. As always, this is not an ad. I’m just scared you’ll forget and never get to try this delicious Clancy’s kettle corn!
