We can all agree, in between reps, we’ve seen a lot of protein products this year. Not only have we seen them, we’ve eaten, and drank them―everything from ramen noodles and soda to high protein filtered milks available at Sam’s Club to Campbell’s own protein-jacked soup lineup.

Even as the world of protein foods continues to expand, it’s comforting to hear news about that familiar familiar protein-source standby, the protein shake―especially if that news involves new flavors (and formats) of protein shake that are also, somehow, comfortingly familiar, like the ones coming out from Core Power in 2027: Strawberry and Banana.
Strawberry and Banana, Newly Protein-Packed
In case you didn’t know, Core Power is a brand in the Fairlife, ultra-filtered milk family. And because Fairlife uses what they call an “ultra-filtration” process, like other extra- (or ultra-) filtered milks, they’re able to concentrate protein amounts without adding protein from another source. The Fairlife milk alone has “50% more protein and 50% less sugar compared to regular milk.”
What that means for the upcoming Core Power Banana and (reformatted) Strawberry flavors is a less adulterated flavor (all the protein comes from the same ultra-concentrated dairy protein source―80% casein and 20% whey). You’ll taste more creamy banana and fruity strawberry and less, er, additive graininess or pastiness.
Old School Flavors For A New Year Of Health And Gains
Both flavors, Core Power Banana and Core Power Strawberry protein shakes, are coming out in January of 2027. (And yes, that is genius timing, considering January is the month of renewed promises to self, gains, reps, calorie counts, dry days, weeks, semesters, etc.) The Banana flavor will be brand new, while the Strawberry flavor will be launching in a new 26 gram format for post-workout recovery.
The Banana flavor will come with either 26 or 42 grams of protein, depending on the size, but both shakes will have the same lactose-free, ultra-filtered Fairlife concentrated protein base―plus electrolytes (oh, sweet electrolytes) we’ll all need to help rehydrate, refuel, really whatever our systems are begging for in the beginning of 2027. And since the Core Power brand is Fairlife, these should be widely available―meaning we can all get our shaky hands on them just as soon as the clock strikes midnight on January 1st. (Okay, probably a bit after that.)
