There’s nothing quite like a good cheesecake to stir the masses into a state of exultation – or this is what Costco thinks, at least. To be fair, the store has proof of the power of a good cake, hence why it keeps so many of them on rotation, much to the delight of its customers. This year, we’ve seen Costco revive its Tiramisu Cold Brew Cheesecake, its Pistachio Cheesecake, and its Strawberry Streusel Cheesecake, and each time, people have been delighted.

Apparently not content with three customer wins, Costco’s now decided to remount its Pumpkin Cheesecake. And would you look at that? Fans are pleased. Grab a fork, let’s dig in.

Costco Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Cheesecake: The Sweet, Sweet Taste Of Fall

Towards the end of last week, two popular Instagram Costco fan accounts, @costcobuys and @costcohotfinds, both reliable sources of new product information at the store, reported that the Pumpkin Cheesecake is back, baby. These things, like Costco’s other cheesecakes, are whoppers: Each one weighs in at 70 ounces and is built with a graham cracker crust, a pumpkin cheesecake filling, and a generous amount of whipped topping, finished with a sprinkle of pumpkin spice.

Costco first launched its Pumpkin Cheesecake in the 2010s, and since then it’s been a yearly staple for many people – so it’s probably no surprise that it’s back for another spin. That said, given that Costco (and other supermarkets) tends to discontinue beloved products without prior warning, a couple of customers are breathing a gentle sigh of contentment in response to its return. In both comment sections of the above posts, people repeatedly said that this cheesecake was their favorite, and mentioned how good it was, amongst other elated responses. Seriously, people love this thing. It is worth saying, though, that some customers have taken issue with how expensive the cheesecake has gotten – and at $21.99 per cake, that’s a fair criticism.

Pumpkin, We Are So Back

Although some other customers were saying that the release of Costco’s Pumpkin Cheesecake has come too early in PSL season, we’d tentatively argue that it’s been one of the more restrained parties out there. Some places have been stocking pumpkin spice products since June (that was Target, with a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Creamer), and over the summer, we’ve seen a slow drip-feed of pumpkin-cinnamon-nutmeg items hit the shelves. In that sense, maybe Costco’s kept its cards close to its chest a bit. Maybe. Anyway, get your cheesecakes now!
