Doritos has found a new way to make snack time feel a little more competitive. The brand is putting two very different flavors in the same bag and letting snack fans decide which one deserves the top spot.

Doritos F1 Head2Head is a new limited-time release inspired by Formula 1 racing. Inside the bag are two flavors: Late Night Loaded Taco and Chimichurri Lime. They bring completely different flavors to the table, so the big question is simple: Which one wins?

Two Flavors, One Bag

Doritos F1 Head2Head takes a slightly different approach to the usual new-chip launch. Instead of creating one new flavor and calling it a day, Doritos has put two separate flavors together in one bag. So you can do a mini taste test without buying two different bags.

The first flavor is Late Night Loaded Taco, a returning Doritos flavor with a taco-inspired taste. It brings savory notes of seasoned beef, cheddar cheese, tomato, and sour cream.

Then there is Chimichurri Lime, the brand-new flavor in the mashup. This one goes in a completely different direction, with peppers, garlic, and a bright hit of lime.

That contrast of the two flavors is the whole point. One side brings taco-night taste, while the other brings tangy lime and bold seasoning.

Doritos H2H Late Night Taco & Chimichurri Lime is being sold in 9-ounce bags for $5.49 and smaller 2.6-ounce bags for $2.79. It’s already in some Target locations and should be hitting all retailers soon.

Doritos Has Done Chip Mashups Before

Doritos also has a history of putting two different flavors together, so this idea has some serious precedent.

The brand’s Doritos Collisions line was created around the idea of putting two distinct flavors in the same bag. Past combinations have included Hot Wings and Blue Cheese, Zesty Taco and Chipotle Ranch, Habanero and Guacamole, Cheesy Enchilada and Sour Cream, and Pizza Cravers and Ranch.

More recently, Doritos brought back the Collisions concept with combinations such as Tangy Pickle and Cool Ranch. The brand also released Loaded Taco & Nacho Cheese as another Collisions combo at Sam’s Club in 2024.

So, Which Flavor Wins?

That’s up to you to decide. The Late Night Loaded Taco has the familiar, hearty flavor of a loaded taco, with beef, cheese, tomato, and sour cream notes. Chimichurri Lime brings something fresher, with garlic, peppers, and a bright citrus kick.

There is no need to choose based on the bag alone. The whole point of Doritos F1 Head2Head is to taste both.
