If there’s one slightly-silly, totally made-up holiday I’m down to celebrate, it’s National French Fry Day (or National Fry Day, as it’s also known). So, on July 10th, you can catch me grabbing a fresh, salty serving of French fries for sure. McDonald’s
Forget the $3 menu because McDonald’s is giving away free medium-sized French fries on July 10th, but you’ll need to be a Rewards member to take advantage. You can score this National French Fry Day freebie with a purchase of at least $1 via the McDonald’s app.
Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A is getting the National Fry Day part started early—you can download the fast food restaurant’s app right now and get a free medium-size Waffle Fries reward from July 7-13. Rewards members can score this deal when they play the in-app “Spot the Cow” game, though you are limited to one fry reward per person (there’s no limit on the condiments you can pick up with your fries, though!).
Wendy’s
Wendy’s Rewards members will get a free fry in any size of their choosing on National French Fry Day. All you need to do is make an in-app purchase of at least $5 to get your snack on.
Jack in the Box
If you’re not yet a Jack Pack Rewards member, sign up before National Fry Day because only members will be eligible for this restaurant’s freebie. Then, you’ll be able to grab a free fry (of any size!) with a minimum purchase of $1.
White Castle
Love White Castle’s Cheese Fries? Then you need to head to this fast food spot on July 10th. You can pick up free Cheese Fries by using promo code CHEESY when placing an online or in-app order (or if you’re old school, you can also use a physical coupon to take advantage of the freebie deal in person).
Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s
Head to your local Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s location on National Fry Day, and you can pick up a free large fry (just make sure your location is one of the participating restaurants first). You’ll find the off in the Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s app and online on July 10 only, and you’ll need to sign up to be a My Rewards member to access it.
Arby’s
If you’re a member of Arby’s Rewards, you can score a free fry (of any size!) with the purchase of a Cheesesteak. Just make sure you purchase the Cheesesteak online to ensure your order qualifies for the deal.
Checkers & Rally’s
In celebration of National French Fry Day, Checkers & Rally’s is offering a buy one, get one deal on those Famous Seasoned Fries. Buy any size fry, and you’ll get a second for free. Loaded Fries are excluded, but the deal does last from July 10th to the 12th—so you can score them even after the “holiday” ends.
Del Taco
Spend a minimum of $3 at Del Taco on National French Fry Day, and you’ll get a free regular fries. This offer starts July 10th (the “holiday” itself) and extends through July 13th.
Whataburger
Whataburger Rewards members, good news: There’s a brand-new July deal. On July 10th, you can get a free medium order of French Fries. And there’s no purchase required to nab this deal. The offer is valid for online or in-app orders.

Stop by your local Sheetz from July 10-16, and you can pick up a free bag of French fries. Sheetz is giving away one bag per person, as long as you make a qualifying purchase of $10 or more and are a My Sheetz Rewardz member.
