My Instagram Discover feed is a mix of new food products, cheap homes in Umbria, and terrifying AI food creations—with the occasional raccoon for sanity’s sake. Oftentimes, the terrifying AI creations try to fool me into thinking they’re real new food products. When I first saw Gingerbread Doritos, I assumed that was the case. There was no way these were real. But I clicked anyway and discovered, to my horror, that Gingerbread Doritos are real and you can buy them. They’re also not the only strange gingerbread-flavored product from PepsiCo this year. Gingerbread Pepsi is also back on the menu.

What are Gingerbread Doritos?

They’re simply described as gingerbread-flavored corn chips. According to one reviewer on Instagram, “First, you get a bit of generic sweetness. Then there’s a kind of plain corn taste in the middle. Then, the gingerbread flavour [sic] comes through at the end.” Consensus: enjoyable, though the gingerbread flavor could have been stronger.

What is Gingerbread Pepsi?

Specifically, Pepsi is dropping a Zero Sugar Gingerbread Pepsi. This actually isn’t the first time Pepsi has released a Zero Gingerbread Pepsi. Cans were sold on TikTok Shop last year. Our very own Griffin Parker tasted a can and said it had a “great cookie-like flavor and a nice creaminess to it,” though he also noted that the gingerbread flavor could have been stronger. No word yet on whether or not this year’s version of Gingerbread Pepsi is the same as last year’s.

Where and when can I buy Gingerbread Doritos and Gingerbread Pepsi?

Here’s the catch. Both Gingerbread Doritos and Zero Sugar Gingerbread Pepsi are available in the UK. Sorry, Americans. If you want to experience the seasonal flavors for yourself, you’ll have to catch a ride across the pond where the products will be available starting October 6 (though bags of Gingerbread Doritos have already been spotted in Tescos). While you’re there, make sure to grab a few bags of the other festive “crisps” PepsiCo is dropping: Walkers Emmental Cheese, Walkers Beef Wellington, and Sensations Honey Glazed Ham.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
