Pepperidge Farm, you’re spoiling us with all of these options! The venerable brand has had a busy 2026, and while it’s been making way more than just different flavors and varieties of Goldfish crackers (last month, for instance, we got new Chessmen cookies designed to sate those fall food cravings), it’s definitely been thinking long and hard about how to stretch the reach of those salty, cheesy, crunchy morsels. Earlier this year, we got four new varieties of Pokémon Goldfish Crackers, engineered to appeal to both kids and teary-eyed, nostalgic adults alike; then, last month, we learned that gluten-free Goldfish would be reaching shelves this November.

Pepperidge Farm could have rested on its laurels until those arrived – but oh, no. We’ve just learned that it’s bringing out an entirely new line, and it’s revamping another one. Let’s discuss.

New Goldfish Protein Crackers

According to information shared with Parade, Goldfish will soon release new Protein Crackers. These new versions of its classic snack will contain double the amount of protein found in standard Goldfish Crackers, with six grams per serving. That’s not an enormous amount in the grand scheme of things, of course – but if you’ve ever worried about your crackers being more gym-appropriate, now you can breathe a small sigh of relief, we guess.

Goldfish Protein Crackers will initially come in two flavors: Cheddar and Pizza. They’ll be available from October, and they’ll retail at around $3.99 per 6.6-ounce bag.

Goldfish Whole Grain Crackers

The good people of Pepperidge Farm didn’t stop there. It was also announced that Goldfish would be rejigging its Whole Grain line, with a new and improved recipe. Parade notes that, as before, these new Whole Grain crackers will have 12 grams of whole grains – so the “new and improved” of it all may be a reassessment of their flavor, or of the other ingredients. Like its protein crackers, these will drop in October, and also like those, the brand will lead with two flavors: Cheddar and Pretzel Whole Grain.

With both of these crackers, Goldfish is in pursuit of two of the biggest nutritional trends in recent years: More protein in everything, and more fiber in everything. It still feels weird to refer to essential nutrients as trends, but there’s no denying that everyone’s been doing it – and I’m once again coming in with a thought that food brands have been prioritizing protein, which we usually get enough of, over fiber, which we definitely don’t get enough of, way too much. But I digress. Expect to see these new crackers in the coming weeks.
