Haribo Is Selling Five Classic Flavors In A Brand New Way

I have a lot of time for Haribo – by which I mean I eat it constantly. Haribo gummies are huge here in the UK, and at last count, I have four different packs of them sitting downstairs in my home. Granted, a couple of those were bought on impulse and are gradually getting stale – I’m not eating multiple bags of candy a week, although I definitely could – but that speaks to how much I’m willing to drop some cash on them whenever they catch my eye.

Its latest drop would absolutely be catching my eye if I were in the United States and near a Dollar Tree. Haribo’s got a new lineup of candy at the store, which combines all-time flavors with new forms. Let’s take a look. 

New Haribo Mono-Flavor Bags

Starting in October, Dollar Tree will be exclusively stocking five new mono-flavor Haribo bags, each of which profiles a specific taste in a new form. Anyone who’s got even a passing interest in Haribo will know that most of the time, you’re getting a mix of different flavors in one package – so the streamlined nature of these offers will no doubt be a joy to those who find all those other tastes distracting. As someone who could wax lyrical about the superlative nature of the green Haribo Goldbear, I approve of this move. 

Anyway! The new options will be: 

• Haribo Straw-fairies: Strawberry-flavored fairy-shaped gummies. 
• Haribo Blue Raspberr-Bees: Bee-shaped gummies with a raspberry taste and a bright blue hue. 
• Haribo Dragon’s-Fruit: This one’s very Game of Thrones. Dragon fruit punch-flavored gummies in a dragon shape (although the hot pink color slightly takes away from the medieval fantasy of it all). 
• Haribo Fla-Mangos: Flamingo-shaped orange gummies with a mango flavor. 
• Haribo Pear-akeets: Green bird-shaped gummies with a crisp pear flavor.

These all sound pretty fun, right? While it’s to be expected that a massive candy company like Haribo can crank out new flavor-shape combos at its leisure, I do still marvel at the sheer breadth of its selection – and getting five more on the quiet like this speaks to its front-footed, variety-forward nature. It’s also been a pretty busy time for Haribo elsewhere (although when is it not?). Last month, we were discussing its new Balla Bites (which have been available in Europe for decades under the name Pico-Balla — bit of rebranding going on here) and the return of Sour Bats for Halloween.
