The power that food has to evoke a sense of childhood is not to be underestimated, people. Nostalgia is an emotion that brands lean into regularly, whether it’s by reviving morning rituals or adapting existing products to make you feel young again – and honestly? I’m here for it. Anything that evokes a sense of childlike whimsy and fun is just fine by me.

And that’s exactly what Hershey’s has done with its new food kit, which also gets a helping hand from an actor known for a ‘90s movie moment. Let’s break it down.

Hershey’s Flavor Combos S’Mores Kit

Hershey’s has just announced its new Flavor Combos S’Mores Kit, which packs everything you need for the campfire snack into one box, and which is an advancement on its pre-existing kit options. Every kit has three Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate with Caramel Bars, two Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, two packs of graham crackers, and one bag of marshmallows. More than enough to keep the kids happy.

To promote its Flavor Combos S’Mores Kit, Hershey’s has tapped actor Patrick Renna, who starred as Hamilton “Ham” Porter in 1993’s The Sandlot, and who uttered the famous line “you’re killing me, Smalls,” in a scene where he dealt with a misunderstanding around the word s’more and what it meant (which you can see over on YouTube). Renna will feature in the Hershey’s Heated Debate campaign, in which it will ask fans to pick what side of the s’mores-making divide it sits on: Camp Toasty, for folks who like their s’mores well-charred, or Camp Gooey, for people who focus more on making sure their marshmallows are as melted as possible.

We were personally unaware of the dividing line drawn between these two camps, but hey — we’re old now, guys. You can get involved in the debate from June 1 by tagging Hershey’s on Instagram or TikTok using the hashtags #campgooey or #camptoasty while sharing your chosen s’mores style.

Where Can I Find This New S’Mores Kit?

Hershey’s Flavor Combos S’Mores Kit will be available at major retailers like Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s Wholesale. It will join the other s’mores kits made by Hershey’s, of which there have been several throughout the years. This one’s gonna be a nice option for your summer camping trips, before Hershey’s Creme Bars arrive later in the year — and we’re very excited about those. Keep ’em coming, Hershey’s.
