Some people like their fried chicken savory. Others prefer it sweet. Personally, I think there’s a strong case for having both, preferably in the same bite. And it looks like Jollibee agrees, because the Filipino fast food chain is introducing a new honey garlic chicken lineup that promises the best of both worlds.

Starting October 15th, Jollibee rolled out two limited-time menu items: Honey Garlic Fried Chicken and a Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich. Both feature a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, plus crispy fried garlic bits for an extra little crunch. In case, you know, regular fried chicken wasn’t satisfying enough in the crunch department.
What’s On Jollibee’s New Honey Garlic Menu?
First up is the Honey Garlic Fried Chicken, which takes Jollibee’s signature bone-in fried chicken and coats it in a glossy honey garlic glaze. It’s finished with crispy fried garlic bits, so you’re getting that combination of sticky sweetness, savory garlic, and crunchy chicken all in one.
You can order it as a two-piece combo if you’re after a regular meal, or go for a six- or ten-piece bucket if you’re feeding a crowd. Or if you’re just especially enthusiastic about honey garlic chicken. No judgment.
Then there’s the Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich, which puts a glazed fried chicken breast on a toasted brioche-style bun. It comes with fresh cucumber slices and more of those crispy garlic bits. The cucumber is a nice touch. Between the sweet glaze and fried chicken, a little freshness sounds like exactly what this sandwich needs.
The fried chicken sounds like a sit-down-with-a-pile-of-napkins situation, while the sandwich is theoretically something you could eat on the go. Theoretically being the key word when there’s sticky honey glaze involved.
When And Where Can You Get It?
The new Honey Garlic Fried Chicken and Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich is available now, having arrived at participating Jollibee locations across the US and Canada on October 15th. Both are limited-time offerings, although Jollibee hasn’t announced an exact end date.
Jollibee has built a loyal following around its Chickenjoy fried chicken, and I can see why a honey garlic version would get people’s attention. It’s a familiar flavor combination, but one that makes a lot of sense with crispy fried chicken.
Now, the only real question is whether to go for the sandwich or the bucket. Or both.
